Andong Maskdance Festival (안동국제탈춤페스티벌)

The Andong Maskdance Festival is a global celebration where the memories carried by masks come to life through dance. Visitors can experience Korea’s mask dance traditions, inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, alongside mask dances from around the world. A wide range of performances, parades, the Tallori Daedongnanjang community celebrations, and the World Maskplay Competition create opportunities for people to come together and share in the festival experience. The 2026 Andong Maskdance Festival seeks to connect the stories preserved in masks with contemporary life. As children and seniors, local residents and international visitors gather in the same place to laugh, applaud, and share the rhythm of the festival, the memories carried by masks become a living culture. Shaped by the participation of all who take part, the festival becomes a true “dance for everyone,” celebrating the power of community and the joy of coming together.

The Andong National Heritage Night "Wolyeong Night Stroll" takes place around Woryeonggyo Bridge, offering visitors the opportunity to explore Andong’s national heritage while walking under the moonlight. The program is centered on storytelling inspired by the area’s cultural heritage and is held in the vicinity of Woryeonggyo Bridge. Visitors can engage with the historical value of Andong’s heritage through a variety of themed programs, including night views, guided routes, historical storytelling, performances, markets, food offerings, exhibitions, and lodging. Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi Festival (안성맞춤 남사당 바우덕이축제)

The Namsadang Noripae, which was at the heart of popular culture during the Joseon dynasty, can be likened to today’s touring musical theater companies. Anseong is the birthplace of the Namsadang, which expressed the joys and sorrows of the times through various forms of entertainment. The Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi Festival inherits the tradition and culture of Namsadang and the artistic spirit of Baudeogi, the first female to have become the leader of Namsadang troupe in the Joseon dynasty. It is designated as an official festival of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFFⓇ), an official partner of UNESCO since 2006. Namsadang Nori (Itinerant Troupe Performance) is held at the festival, along with other shows, including Pungmul Nori (Folk Music and Dance Performance) and foreign folk performances. Visitors can catch the tightrope show every day, which is performed on a rope three meters off the ground. Other attractions include the reenactment of a traditional Korean wedding and royal procession and the World Parade. ◎ Namsadang and BaudeogiNamsadang was a performance troupe that went around singing, dancing, and performing various tricks. The troupe was initially composed of single men, but women also came to be members after the female performer and leader Baudeogi.

Travel Courses FAQ
What is a Korea travel course?
A travel course is a curated itinerary linking multiple stops — for example, Gyeongbokgung Palace → Bukchon Hanok Village → Insadong → Cheonggyecheon Stream. They are suggested routes, not ticketed tours.
How long does each travel course take?
Most day courses are designed for 4–8 hours on foot or by public transit. Half-day courses typically cover 2–4 stops. Duration depends on how long you spend at each location.
Do I need to book anything in advance for these courses?
The routes themselves require no booking. However, individual sites along a course (museums, palaces, restaurants) may have entry fees or require advance reservation. Check each stop's official page.
Can I do these courses without a tour guide?
