Mungyeong Yakdol Hanu Town (문경약돌한우타운)

Mungyeong Yakdol Hanu Town is a meat processing facility and restaurant built by Mungyeong City to promote the excellence of Mungyeong Yakdol Hanu, a local specialty, throughout the country. The restaurant is highly recommended as a must-visit place for sightseeing in Mungyeong because of its large space (1 underground floor, 2 above-ground floors) and high-quality Korean beef. The Korean beef raised on pegmatite (a rock that contains beneficial minerals to the human body), also known as "medicine stone" or yakdol in Korea, is known to have a superior taste because it contains low-fat content and is good for your health. Guests can also visit Mungyeong Yakdol Korean Beef butcher shop, which sells Korean beef at half the market price. In addition to grilled meat, there are also many dishes such as bulgogi hot pot, bibimbap, and cold buckwheat noodles.
Myeong-dong Ttungttungi Jokbal (명동뚱뚱이족발)

One of the old restaurants in Myeong-dong featured in Korean gourmet programs. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Jung-gu, Seoul. The most famous menu is braised pigs' feet.
Myeongdong Jjukkumi (명동쭈꾸미)

Myeondong Jjukkumi is a jjukkumi (ocellerated octopus) restaurant located in Jung-gu, Seoul. It only takes about a 1-minute walk from Hoehyeon Station (Seoul Subway Line 4), Exit 2, a convenient location for both tourists and people who work in the area. Main menu items consist of jjukkumi and samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly), pork galbi (rib meat), bossam (cabbage wraps with pork), among other set menus. All dishes are cooked in the kitchen, and are known for their spicy kick and savory taste. The restaurant can accommodate group guests as it has a spacious hall as well as outdoor tables. Customers dining at the restaurant can help themselves to more side dishes at the self-service side dish bar and enjoy a hearty meal at a reasonable price.
Myeongpum Jeonbokgung (명품전복궁)

The restaurant runs its own abalone farm, allowing you to enjoy fresh abalone. The most popular dish, “Jeonbok Hansang” (abalone set menu), serves almost every abalone dish imaginable on a single table. Located in the Wando Traditional Market, the restaurant is spacious, making it an excellent choice for group visits.
Myth Jokbal Myeongdong (미쓰족발명동)

This restaurant specializes in Jokbal (Braised pigs' feet) and Bossam (Napa wraps with pork), both of which are served with vegetable wraps and salad. Jokbal (Braised pigs’ feet) is prepared by braising pigs' feet in spiced stock, a process that removes excess fat, enhances the flavor, and gives the meat a chewier texture. Each order of Jokbal (Braised pigs' feet) is accompanied by Kongnamulkimchiguk (Bean sprout and kimchi soup), to which Kalguksumyeon (Noodles) are added. For those who find the dishes too spicy, the restaurant offers a self-serve Jumeokbap (Riceball), featuring laver flakes, pickled radish, and mayonnaise to cool the palate.
Namdo Arirang (남도아리랑)

This restaurant can be recommended to those who try skate for the first time, for the skate served in this restaurant is not as much fermented as the ones served in other restaurants. Its signature menu is the “Mokpoguhap” (nine Mokpo seafood combo), which includes the hongeosamhap and a variety of other seafood. Another popular set menu is the “Hongeo Ilpumsang” (premium skate set menu), a sumptuous table featuring dishes made with skate. Don’t miss the hongeoaeguk (fermented skate liver soup).
Napori Hoetjip (나포리횟집)

In the drama "Castaway Diva (2023)," Napori Hoetjip (raw fish restaurant) appears as Chunsamdo Hoetjip, Seo Mok-ha’s home. In real life, it’s a local favorite in Goseong, especially for its sea eel. The house specialties include sliced raw pike eel with a delicate texture, shabu-shabu where the flesh blossoms like a flower, and savory grilled eel. It also offers a combo set that includes raw sea eel and a choice of shabu-shabu or grilled eel.
Negaissneun Bada (네가있는바다)
49-75 Gallam-gil Wondeok-eup, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do
It is an ocean-view cafe with a beautiful view of Gallam Port and the clean sea of Samcheok. There are terrace seats facing the sea and plenty of rooftop seats. There are also several windows inside, so it is enough to enjoy a picture-like view of the sea from anywhere. Among the various bakery menus, Green Onion Scones and Mugwort Financier are popular because they are unique and delicious. If you go late, they tend to run out. The drinks are tasty as well as pretty, which is perfect for taking Instagram photos.
Neungpo Dawon (능포다원)

A traditional Hanok tea house subtly nestled among buildings. It served as the filming location for the traditional tea house “Arisol” managed by Gong Yoon-hee in the movie “Gyeongju.” The tea, brewed by the owner, boasts a rich flavor. The painting “Chunhwa” that served as the movie's motif is a work by the husband of the tea house owner. Various artworks, starting with “Chunhwa,” are displayed throughout the tea house.
Nolboo Bossam & Budaejjigae Euljiro6ga(놀부보쌈&부대찌개 을지로6가)

This is a Korean cuisine located in Dongdaemun Gate, Seoul. One of Korea’s representative restaurant franchises. The best menu at this restaurant is napa wraps with pork.
OC Kalguksu (오씨칼국수)

This is a specialty kalguksu restaurant known for its broth made with surf clams. When you order the mulchong, or dongjuk jogaetang (surf clam soup), you’ll be surprised by the generous amount of clams piled above the pot. The broth, made with anchovies and surf clams, is spiced to enhance its flavor, making it more flavorful and less plain.
Odaesan Minsok Sikdang (오대산민속식당)

This restaurant is famous for its sanchae jeongsik, a meal featuring a variety of seasonal wild vegetables. Wild vegetables and mushrooms are collected in the mountains by the restaurant's owner, and the soybean paste is made in-house. Because it is located at the entrance to Woljeongsa Temple, you can visit the restaurant with the temple.
Odeng Sikdang Uijeongbu Main Branch (오뎅식당)

The origins of Uijeongbu’s budaejjigae (Sausage Jjigae) tradition trace back to a humble food stall, now operated by the third generation. As budaejjigae grew in popularity, this modest stall evolved into a dedicated restaurant specializing in the iconic dish.
Ogane Jokbal (오가네족발)

Ogane Jokbal is known for its jokbal (braised pigs' feet) and bossam (kimchi cabbage wraps with pork). Jokbal (braised pigs' feet) refers to pigs’ legs braised for extended periods. The meat comes out of the braising process chewy and flavorful. Saeujeot (salted shrimp) is used as the sauce. Bossam (kimchi cabbage wraps with pork) and makguksu (buckwheat noodles) are also on the menu. Lunch specials include the bossam jeongsik (kimchi cabbage wraps with pork set menu) and naengmakguksu (cold buckwheat noodles). Ogane Jokbal was included in the MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2019.
OHJI (오지)

OHJI is a large café located on Suamgol Café Street. It is located on the way up to Suamgol Observatory, making it a great place to drop by on the way. It has three floors, with seating on the second and third floors, so one can enjoy the view of Cheongju city center in a comfortable ambience. Due to its location, it is also a great place to enjoy the view of the sunset through the floor-to-ceiling windows on a clear evening and enjoy the view of Cheongju at night after dark. The café offers a variety of cakes and other desserts that go well with coffee, so make sure to sample them as well. The interior design tends toward industrial chic, with an emphasis on modern sensibilities.
Ojugine (오죽이네)

Ojugine is a restaurant that specializes in dak maeuntang, a spicy chicken stew that is different from dak bokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken), as the former has more soup than the latter. The stew is served whilst boiling, so one just needs to let it sit for a bit on the table before digging in. The spicy sauce and chicken are a match made in heaven, and the same goes for this dish. Interestingly, Ojugine uses smaller chickens to prepare their dishes, so the flesh braises in the stock faster. The resulting combination is sure to offer a memorable meal. Any remaining soup can be reused as a sauce for fried rice after the main meal, so visitors are advised to leave some space in their stomach.
