Phoenix Park offers a year-round Pyeongchang experience, set on a pristine plateau 700 meters above sea level. Piagolgyegok Valley is located in Jirisan Mountain between Nogodan and Banyabong Peaks. The name of the valley comes from the crimson red maple leaves that fill the valley in fall. It is also one of the ten most beautiful highlights of Jirisan Mountain. The valley is famous for its fall colors, but it is also a beautiful place to visit all year around, from azaleas in spring to snow-covered rocks in winter. Near the entrance to Piagolgyegok Valley is the largest temple in Jirisan Mountain, Yeongoksa Temple, and national treasures. The valley is not steep, providing an easy walk for all visitors. The trail stretches 6 kilometers from the ticket booth, and passes many beautiful places like Yeonjudam and Samhongso Pond. At the end of the valley, the trail continues another 2 kilometers up a steep hillside to reach Imgeollyeong Pass.

The underground public pedestrian passage connecting Express Bus Terminal Station and Banpo Hangang Park has been planned as a street gallery for all citizens who love Seoul. In particular, the Picasso Mural created in collaboration with the Spanish Tourism Board, Malaga Tourism Board, and Seocho-gu Office is a 65-meter mural showcasing various aspects of Spain's Malaga and Seoul through the eyes of Picasso, including architecture, food, tradition, and daily life. The artist who painted this mural is Eduardo Luque, also known as Lalone, a world-renowned graffiti artist and the winner of the European Urban Art Championship. A behind-the-scenes video of the mural's creation and clips of Lalone at work are shown in the café-style rest area next to the mural.

Pihyangjeong Pavilion is known to be the most outstanding pavilion in all of Jeolla region. Orignally, there were two ponds around the pavilion, but one of the ponds were filled up with soil during the Japanese period. The pavilion's name derived from the scent of water lilies that bloomed afloat on the ponds. The pavilion demonstrates all the basic components of a typical pavilion built during the Joseon dynasty and is valued as an historical example of a wooden architecture during the mid-Joseon dynasty.

Idong Galbi Village began with two stores in the early 1960s. They became famous and many more restaurants began to serve this local specialty.

Sanjeonghosu Lake is surrounded by the Myeongseongsan and Gwaneumsan Mountains. Its name refers to its location, like a well ("jeong") deep within the mountains ("san"). The lake was originally built as a water source for agriculture. It is circled by a 3 kilometer-long trail, and there is a silver grass habitat in the middle of a hiking trail leading to the summit of Myeongseongsan Mountain. Family-friendly facilities like snow sledding slopes and hot springs can also be found. Nearby tourist sites include the Hantangang River, Herb Island, Art Valley, and the Korea National Arboretum.

After touring the museum, visitors can try non-sterilized liquor of Baesangmyeon Brewery and join activity programs for making home-brewed liquor, fruit-based liquor, seasonal liquor, and more.

Pohang Canal, completed in January 2014, cuts between Pohang's Songdo-dong and Jungdo 1-dong, connecting the waters under Dongbindaegyo Bridge with Hyeongsangang River to the south. The canal has a total length of 1.3km, adding on to the 8~10 km long seafaring road of Pohang. The canal is a restoration of an old water path, and the citizens have welcomed the eco-friendly construction as a community park. Many people enjoy walking along the canal or the romantic experience of riding on a cruise ship through the canal.
