Located some distance from the town center, this popular eatery still draws steady lunchtime crowds. Popular dishes include crispy sweet-and-sour shiitake mushrooms and the 'Nakjijjamppong' (spicy seafood noodle soup with octopus), served with a whole, fresh octopus in a spicy broth.
Sambong Dodam (삼봉도담)

Situated near Jogyesa Temple and Jonggak Station in Jongno, Sambong Dodam is a Korean restaurant specializing in kalguksu (noodle soup) and bossam (kimchi cabbage wraps with pork). In the evenings, the menu expands to include savory appetizers like fragrant minarijeon (Korean parsley pancake). Sambuja Galbi Woncheon Branch (삼부자갈비 원천점)

Since 1983, this restaurant has upheld the tradition of Suwon wanggalbi. The galbi here is grilled over charcoal, adding a rich, smoky depth to the meat’s flavor. A variety of flavorful side dishes accompany the meal, including gejang (marinated crab), enhancing the dining experience.
Samdae Incheon Gejang (삼대인천게장)

Established in 1962, this restaurant has been serving gejang for nearly sixty years and is now in its third generation (“sam-dae“) of family ownership. It uses blue crabs from Yeonpyeongdo Island and traditionally crafted and aged soy sauce. The restaurant employs a low-sodium method in its ganjang gejang (soy sauce marinated crab), highlighting the dish’s savory flavors.
Samjeong (삼정)

Only the highest-grade 1++ ((BMS, Beef Marbling Score: 9)) 'Hoengseong Hanu' (Korean beef from Hoengseong) is served here. The beef is sourced from antibiotic-free cattle and wet-aged using the restaurant’s own methods. Ingredients are grown without pesticides, offering a more reassruing dining experience. Private dining rooms offer a more secluded setting, and staff assist with grilling at the table.
Samsong Bakery main store (삼송빵집 본점)

Daegu's representative bakery f(x) KRYSTAL visited This place opened in 1957 and became famous after a broadcast of KRYSTAL eating bread here, hence it is called Daegu's representative bakery. The best menu is Whole Corn Bun, Squid Ink Whole Corn Bun, Vegetable Croquettes, Streusel Bun with Red Bean Filling, and Cream Cheese Sweet Rice Cake Bread. The high ceilings and chandeliers are impressive. When you go up to the second floor, you will find a minimalist cafe-like atmosphere with simple tables placed in a wide space.
Samsong Chobap (삼송초밥)

Located in Jung-gu, Busan, this long-standing Japanese restaurant is known for its fresh ingredients and chef's touch. Sushi is made daily with selected fish and rice, and the menu also includes dishes such as soba sets and 'Bok Sashimi' (raw puffer fish). While 'Gimchobap' (Japanese-style gimbap) is widely known, regulars often order pufferfish dishes. The 'Bokjiri' (puffer fish soup) features a clear broth with seasonal vegetables, and the 'Bok Sashimi' set includes various cuts with shabu-shabu.

Sanjang Garden is a Korean restaurant specializing in grilling pork galbi over charcoal. In addition to pork galbi, they also serve dishes such as naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), dongchimi guksu (noodles with radish water kimchi), and sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup). Surrounded by lakes and mountains, the restaurant offers a picturesque setting and has been featured multiple times on Korean television. It's approximately a 15-minute drive from Jochiwon Station by car or taxi.
Sarangbang (사랑방)

Sarangbang is a grilled seafood restaurant located in Taejongdae. The upstairs has an outdoor seating designed like a food stall. The restaurant also has a three-tiered fish tank on display inside with clams, abalones, and shells, so visitors can see how fresh they are. Various seafood such as clams, scallops, and shrimps are served on a three-tier tray. The ingredients are well prepared and served with instructions on how to eat them. If eating the seafood is not enough, visitors can opt to order Sandeomi Seafood Ramyeon.
Seokparang (석파랑)

Seokparang is a place built by relocating the Sarangchae of Heungseon Daewongun, the father of King Gojong of the Joseon dynasty. It boasts beautiful late Joseon-style gardens and three traditional hanok buildings. Here, one can enjoy authentic Gungjung hanjeongsik (royal Korean table d'hote) for both lunch and dinner, featuring meticulously prepared dishes such as traditional porridge, chilled salads, steamed prawns, kimchi cabbage wraps with pork, soybean paste jjigae set menu, and desserts. Diners can also savor traditional liquors crafted by artisans from across the country.
Seomjingang Jaecheop Guksu (섬진강재첩국수)

This restaurant has gained fame on social media for its “scenic jaecheop-guksu.” Here, you can truly experience the natural flavors and aromas of jaecheop (Freshwater Marsh Clam). The rich jaecheop broth blends perfectly with thin noodles, filling your mouth with umami. The crispy jaecheop-jeon is a delightful treat that pairs perfectly with makgeolli (rice wine).
Seongsunoru (성수노루)

Seongsunoru is a hanu grilled gopchang (Korean beef small intestines) restaurant. The meat is grilled by staff, ensuring crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Besides grilled gopchang, the restaurant also offers a variety of menu items using Korean beef daechang (large intestines) and makchang (tripe) as the main ingredient. Popular add-ons and side dishes include yukhoe (beef tartare), cheese fried rice, kimchi noodles, and soft bean curd jjigae. The restaurant is equipped with a parking lot and has a corkage fee system.
Seonungak (한옥카페 선운각)

Seonungak is a hanok cafe facing Doseonsa Temple at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain, the perfect location to take in the beauty of the changing seasons. The cafe is also the largest hanok building outside of the royal palaces in Seoul. Previously limited to weddings and filming events, the hanok has reopened as a cafe, selling a range of traditional Korean drinks.
Shinuiju Chapsal Sundae (신의주찹쌀순대)

SHINee's Key and Minho's Soul Food It is a Sundae and Rice Soup restaurant that SHINee's Key and Minho have chosen as the soul food that they used to eat after their schedules since their trainee days. Rice Soup can be enjoyed white with only salted shrimp in the soup, or it is delicious with minced seasoning. The bowl will be empty in no time when eaten with Julienne Radish Fresh Salad to a plain soup without the smell of pork. The Stuffed Squid that Key ordered is also a delicacy.

The interior, utilizing brown bricks and black frames, creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the streets of Shanghai.
