Sundamgyegok Valley (순담계곡)

Located 5 kilometers northwest of Cheorwon-gun Office, Sundamgyegok Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys among the branches of the Hantangang River. It offers fantastic scenery of fascinating rock formations, steep cliffs, and ponds. The valley is filled with abundant water, trimmed by rare naturally white sand. Also, the stream behind the valley attracts many rafters each year.

Sungnyemun Gate (숭례문)

Sungnyemun Gate is Korea’s National Treasure No. 1, and its unofficial name is Namdaemun Gate. Sungnyemun Gate is the largest castle gate stone structure with an arched entrance in the middle. There’s a column on top of a platform, raising the roof, distinguishing the upper stories and lower stories of the building. Passageways for traffic are located at the east and west ends of the gate. Different from the other gates, Sungnyemun Gate’s tablet has its name written vertically. On February 10, 2008, Sungnyemun was destroyed by fire. After a 5-year reconstruction work, the gate was re-opened to the public again on May 4, 2013.

Hangang River is a wide river ranging up to 1 - 2km in x_width, so go for a joyride with duck boats on the river. Duck boats are particularly popular on the weekends and holidays, so it is recommended to place reservations before heading there.
Sunshine Land (선샤인랜드)

Sunshine Land is a cultural complex located in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do. One can experience and observe diverse content at this themed attraction, which is divided into four sections: Survival Experience Center, Military Experience Center, Sunshine Studio, and 1950 Studio. The Survival Experience Center and Military Experience Center incorporate VR technology for an interactive and realistic entertainment. The Sunshine Studo and 1950 Studio are decorated in the theme of the aftermath of the Korean War, allowing one to get a glimpse and knowledge of what life in Korea was like after the war.
Sunshine Studio (논산 선샤인스튜디오)

Originally established as the set for the drama "Mr. Sunshine", it has since garnered interest as a filming location for historical dramas such as "Pachinko" and "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938". It is currently open to the public as a tourist attraction. Strolling through Sunshine Studio in costumes of the era, one feels as if they've stepped into the bustling Hanseong of the 1900s.
Suokjeong Tourist Area (수옥정관광지)

Suokjeong Tourist Area is a scenic destination nestled within pristine natural landscapes. Surrounded by renowned Korean mountains such as Joryeongsan and Sinseonbong, visitors can enjoy sights such as Suokpokpo Falls and Yeonpungsaejae Pass. The area around Suokjeong Reservoir offers plenty of attractions, including waterside eco park and outdoor water playground. Nearby, visitors can also explore cycling trails like Saejae Bike Path and religious sites such as the Catholic Yeonpung Sanctuary, attracting visitors throughout all seasons.
Suokpokpo Waterfall (수옥폭포)

Originating from Sobaeksan Mountain, the stream cascades into a picturesque valley and culminates in a refreshing waterfall. As it plunges from a x_height of approximately 20 meters, one can't help but feel invigorated. Suokpokpo Waterfall is a three-tiered cascade, with the upper layers resembling steps. The harmonious union of the waterfall and pavilion creates a scenic view frequently sought after in film and historical drama productions.
Supaeseo (숲애서)
Anti-aging and Healing Service Experience Center, 248 Tapgol-gil, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
Supaeseo, which opened in July 2021, is the first publicly operated healing experience center. The center helps visitors enjoy a slow and healthy life filled with love, while being surrounded by the clean forests of Daeunsan Mountain, Yangsan. Visitors can experience therapy programs, therapy meals, and recreational accommodations all in one place. The center is dedicated to improving visitors' quality of life through rest, forest therapy, and health therapy programs in the clean nature of Daeunsan Mountain.
Supjaengi Garden (숲쟁이공원)

Supjaengi Garden is a park associated with the history of Beopseongpo. "Supjaengi" means a fortress made of trees. It was created to protect Beopseong Jinseong Fortress, a naval base during the Joseon dynasty, with a forest of deciduous trees, serving as a windbreak forest to protect Beopseongpo and the village. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the port while walking along the flower-filled walking trails. Every June, the Beopseongpo Danoje attracts many tourists.
Supsok Hanbang Land (숲속한방랜드)

Jjimjjilbang, a Korean-style sauna that combines a traditional bathhouse with a hot steam room, is often ranked high among the unique experiences in Korea chosen by foreigners. Taking a steam bath in a charcoal kiln discharges waste products from the skin through sweat and eliminates accumulated fatigue. Supsok Hanbang Land has several charcoal kilns for different temperatures. Using them in order from low to high-temperature rooms is good, but the highest-temperature room, “Kkottang,” has a risk of causing skinburn, so visitors are advised to wear socks and cotton gloves to enter the room. Another unique experience is to grill sweet potatoes or rice cakes on the brazier in front of the charcoal kiln.
Surakgyegok Valley (수락계곡)

Surakgyegok Valley is a valley located in the northern part of Daedunsan Provincial Park. Enveloped by forests and flowing streams, it offers opportunities for forest bathing, and its moderate temperatures even in the summer make it suitable for leisure activities. Throughout the valley, visitors can find waterfalls such as Surakpokpo Falls and Seonnyeopokpo Falls. A notable feature of this area is the steep iron staircase nestled between cliffs, leading from the valley to the summit of Daedunsan Mountain, which is a highlight of the area.
Sureungwon Garden (수릉원)

Sureungwon Garden is a place themed around the meeting between King Suro, the founder of Gaya, and Queen Heo, who was the princess of Ayuta Kingdom, known as India. The name Sureungwon Garden also contains the meaning of an elegant forest where King Suro and Queen Heo walked together. An ecological park measuring 39,600 m 2 has been created along a low ridge that connects the Tomb of King Suro, an important cultural heritage of the Gaya period; the Ancient Tombs in Daeseong-dong, the tombs of the Gaya kings; and the Bonghwang-dong Historic Site. It was created by representing the maritime kingdom of Gaya, imagining a pond of the garden where King Suro and Queen Heo used to walk, and planting prickly waterlilies and yellow floating hearts that are believed to have inhabited wetlands in the Gaya period. Trails along the cozy forest and pond make it easy to look around comfortably.
Surichigol Holy Ground (수리치골 성지)

Surichigol Holy Ground is a Catholic sanctuary located deep in the mountains of Guksabong Peak in the western part of Gongju-si. It holds significance as a site where Korean Catholics organized themselves while hiding from persecution during the 19th century. Today, it is designated as a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary, providing a retreat house for Catholics to experience nature away from urban areas.
