The Cheonan World Dance Festival is a global event that brings everyone together through dance, transcending nationalities and language barriers. Connected to the Hantangang River Mulwit-gil trekking course, the festival allows visitors to enjoy the river’s breathtaking snowy scenery while taking part in a variety of performances and winter-themed activities held throughout the festival period at the main venue beneath Seungilgyo Bridge. Special events, including the popular “Ttongbaram Altong Road Run," add to the festive atmosphere and excitement.

The Daegu Chimac Festival is Daegu’s signature summer festival and Korea’s largest food-and-drink event celebrating the much-loved pairing of chicken and beer. Since its launch in 2013, it has grown steadily, now drawing one million visitors and helping boost the local economy while raising Daegu’s profile as a global destination. Selected in 2026 for Korea’s Local 100 list and as a Preliminary Global Festival, this year’s event will run from July 1 to 5 in and around Duryu Park. Beyond chicken and beer, the festival offers a full lineup of performances, exhibitions, hands-on programs, and promotional booths. The main venue, 2.28 Freedom Square, will be transformed into a water concert zone where water play meets electronic music, with a new 360-degree central stage added this year. Across the festival grounds, visitors can explore themed zones such as Daefrica Waterpia, Chimac Sing-along Club, and Chisangnakwon EGG Island. Artist-designed installations and photo zones will bring even more energy to the festival grounds.
