Chaewondang is a hanok stay next to the Seomjingang Train Village in Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. Its Sarangbang guestroom is suitable for one family while the Anchae and Yegaheon rooms are for large families or group travelers. The grassy yard contains flower beds and a jangdokdae or storage jar stand, and has scenic views over surrounding rice fields and countryside. If pre-booked, breakfast can include local specialties such as marsh snail stew and spicy beef soup. Various experience programs such as hanbok wearing and local road biking are offered, while visitors get discount tickets for riding the Seomjingang train, horse riding and other amenities.
Chalbanggong Head House (찰방공종택)

Chalbanggong Head House, located in Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, was built in 1933 and is the head house of the 9th generation of Cheongsong Sim, Eun-gong Ak. Formerly used as a school, it is now a local cultural heritage centre. The U-shaped layout and the north gate are unique, and facing the entrance is the Songso Old House, comprising 99 rooms with traditional Korean wall paper and bedding. There is a wood-burning ondol room, a large yard, and a kitchen garden - a quiet, relaxing spot where you can hear only the sound of the wind and the birds.
Charmant Hotel (샤르망호텔)

Charmant Hotel, in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, is popular with business travellers during the week and with family trippers at weekends: the hotel offers larger, family rooms in addition to the standard ones. Cheoksan Spatel ( (주)척산온천휴양촌)

Opened in 1985, Cheoksan Spatel is a natural hot springs with strong alkaline water at 53℃, formed 4000 m below sea level. The water is said to be highly effective in the removal of impurities and treatment of skin conditions. Rooms available include both bedrooms and ondol (under-the-floor heating system) rooms. Each room has a small bath supplied with hot springs water in the bathroom. Guests are also offered a single-use ticket to the hot springs area. There are plenty of onsite facilities as well, from the hot springs area with many different types of baths to ladies-only spa therapy at Spa Healing Center, walking paths through a pine grove, and an observation deck with a view of Seoraksan Mountain’s Ulsan Peak. Other attractions, such as Sokcho Museum, Seoraksan Botanical Garden, and Cheongchoho Recreation Area, is reachable by car in 10 min.
Cheongdo Good Spa Kids Pool Villa(청도굿스파키즈풀빌라)

Cheongdo Good Spa Kids Pool Villa is a large-scale duplex pension in Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do that offers 27 guestrooms. Except for room A302, all rooms feature an indoor jungle gym and a swimming pool filled with hot spring water. Room A302 is the only room with a whirlpool bathtub instead of a swimming pool, so you can enjoy a home spa experience. BBQ grills are available on each terrace and cooking is allowed in all rooms. The public pool uses hot spring water, so you can enjoy a warm swim even in cold weather. Nearby tourist attractions include Cheongdo Luge, Cheongdo Provence, and a rail bike.
Cheonggong (청공한옥)

Cheonggong hanok stay is just 10-minutes’ walk from Gyeongju Bulguksa Station, on the Donghae Line, in Gyeongsangbuk-do. A traditional hanok built of timber and red clay bricks, this is a quiet and restful place. In the yard, visitors will find pine and other trees, garden plants and strangely-shaped rocks expressing harmony with each other, while beautiful flowers nestle in the field in front of the house. Each guestroom has a bathroom with toilet.

The Chi-ong Art Museum is a cultural space spreading up the slope of Cheongnyeongsan Mountain in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do. The site incorporates an art gallery, meeting rooms, a Korean restaurant and hanok lodgings. Inside the lofty gate is a spacious yard, pavilion and pond, and a wooden veranda and tea room at the top. Visitors can experience a traditional tea ceremony, cloth dyeing, and mask making, rice cake and tofu makingl and boudoir handicrafts. With no TV or Internet, this is a place of peace and quiet.
CHIAMGOTAEK (치암고택)

Chiam Old House in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, was the home of Chiam Lee Man-hyeon, a Joseon official in the time of King Gojong, and is now a Gyeongsangbuk-do cultural treasure. Five of the buildings - Anchae, Sarangchae, Daemunchae, Byeoldangchae, and Byeolchae - have guestrooms, and reserving two or three rooms together enables visitors to feel they’re staying in a Joseon yangban’s house. Daemunchae has the best views over the house and surrounding landscape. The flower garden is a nice place to stroll and ponder the beauty of nature.

Chowon Resortel stands at the entrance to Seoraksan National Park - surrounded by majestic peaks, pine-clad valleys and pure mountain air. A short walk will take you to the Seoraksan Information Center. It’s 10 minutes on foot to Sinheungsa Temple, while the famous Heundeul Bawi (‘Swaying Rock’) is a 70 minute hike away.
Chojeong Haenggung (초정행궁)

Chojeong Haenggung is a hanok stay and hanok experience center in Chojeong Culture Park, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. The house has a historic royal connection, as King Sejong stayed here for some months in 1444 while being treated for an eye problem. There are 12 guestrooms, all with an underfloor-heated ondol room and either a daecheongmaru (large wood-floored hall) or a numaru (raised wooden floor space). All rooms have a bathroom and toilet. Cooking is not possible, but there’s a microwave oven and kettle for preparation of instant meals. There are discounts for Cheongju residents.
