Daebak Hongdo Agujjim is a restaurant specializing in agujjim (spicy braised monkfish) and a well-known secret among Mokpo residents. Thanks to its fame, the restaurant has two buildings: the main building and the annex. It is located in Dongbu Market, Mokpo. Monkfish is a type of fish known for its tender and chewy texture and in Korea it is often cooked by braising. Monkfish, bean sprouts, and other vegetables are stir-fried with red chili paste-based sauce, creating a dish that brings alive the tender texture of the monkfish and the crunchiness of the vegetables. What elevates this restaurant above the others is their sauce. Dip the fish into a sauce made with chili pepper powder and it will open doors to a new world of flavor and taste.

Daejanggeum serves traditional Korea meals, reinterpreting royal dishes from the Joseon dynasty. Daejanggeum faithfully uses only the best local ingredients to make all their food, from the soybeans used for soy sauce and soybean paste, to kimchi. It is run by Park Gyu-wan, a designated Korean Food Grand Master No. 82, specializing in meat (grilled galbi). Initially, the restaurant served Korean table d’hote focused on galbi, but it has since evolved into a tteokgalbi specialty restaurant. The restaurant uses Korean cow beef ribs marinated in the master’s secret sauce.

Hadong's tea fields, which are known as the thousand-year-old tea fields, are characterized by being wild rather than cultivated.
