Danchon Seowon Old House is an elegant hanok in Danyang, Chungcheongbuk-do. Guestrooms are named after flowers and blossoms, such as Mountain Peony, White Dandelion and Plum. Some rooms have antique furniture and pictures on the wall while others have exposed rafters and beams. Narcissus and Ocher are smaller and share a kitchen and bathroom; these are cheaper than the others. There’s a cafe in the yard, where visitors will hear music from the owner’s collection of vinyl LPs. There’s a pleasant walk to the village, and fine views of the stars at night. Danyang Gugyeong Market is 20 minutes away by car, and Suyangjaebit Tunnel is 8 minutes away.
Danghangpo Tourist Area Pension (당항포관광지 펜션)

Danghangpo Tourist Site Pension is a two-story wooden house in Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Guestrooms are ondol-style and consist of a kitchen/living room, a sleeping room, a bathroom, and a terrace. You can cook in the kitchen, but please use the terrace for meat and seafood. Pension guests get a free pass to all Danghangpo Tourist Site facilities, which include a dinosaur footprint fossil hall, a hologram video hall, a botanic garden, and a turtle ship experience - all very popular with the children!

Dasomchae in Songjeong-dong, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, is a guesthouse in an 80-year-old hanok with a spacious yard. All rooms have red clay walls and natural cotton bedding is provided. The yard contains many elegant locust, plum,and other fruit trees, and summertime brings the lovely sight of trumpet creepers winding round the chimney. In the village, visitors can experience traditional farming (planting rice and digging sweet potatoes) and traditional craft skills such as kite making and straw weaving; as well as making taffy and sweet rice cake, catching mudfish and ice sledding.

Dongnagwon is a hanok hotel in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do. It was built as a memorial hall for the missionary William Junkin, who founded a school mission in Jeonju in 1895. Now refurbished as a hotel and venue for traditional performances, wedding ceremonies and seminars, visitors will find old-style interiors with antique furniture and folding screens. Guests can play traditional games in the yard, and there is a red clay room to relieve the fatigue of travel, free of charge. Mountain bikes can be borrowed to ride around the Hanok Village or on the banks of the Jeonjucheon Stream.

Doraemi House in Dorae Village, Naju, Jeollanam-do, is a hanok stay with a bonchae (‘main house’), a sarangchae (men’s house) and a byeolchae (‘reception room’). The bonchae has two bedrooms with a hidden attic space. The sarangchae has a living room with bedrooms on either side; while the byeolchae, atop a low hilll, has a single cozy room. A walk along a forest road takes you to a pavilion by a pond. Next to the bonchae is a quiet and tranquil reading room.
