Goryeong Daegaya Festival (고령대가야축제)

The Goryeong Daegaya Festival is the Goryeong's flagship festival and a long-standing celebration where visitors can explore and experience the unique history and culture of Daegaya. In 2025, Goryeong was officially designated as the ancient capital of Daegaya, further enhancing the significance of its rich historical and cultural heritage. In addition, the discovery of pottery bearing the inscription “Great King” at the moat of the Daegaya Palace Site provided important evidence that Daegaya was a powerful ancient kingdom. Together with the inscription of the Jisandong Ancient Tombs on the UNESCO World Heritage List, these developments underscore the importance of preserving and promoting Daegaya’s history and culture for future generations. Under the theme “Daegaya Begins Again: RE-BORN,” the 2026 Goryeong Daegaya Festival seeks to foster pride in Goryeong’s status as the ancient capital of Daegaya while continuing to grow as a leading festival celebrating history and cultural heritage.

Gourmet Eat Gangnam (제2회 고메 잇 강남)

Marking its second anniversary, this year's Gourmet Eat Gangnam highlights the theme of gourmet festival, featuring a chef cooking show with 100 different menu items. The event takes place from November 4 to 16 at the plaza in front of COEX’s East Gate. Gugak Performance Jinyeon (국악공연 진연)

The gugak performance “Jinyeon, The Music of the Royal Banquet” offers a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of traditional Korean arts on a single stage. Gurye Sansuyu Festival (구례산수유꽃축제)

Gwanak Kang Gam-chan Festival (관악강감찬축제)

The Gwanak Gang Gam-chan Festival is a historical and cultural event held to honor the patriotic spirit of General Gang Gam-chan, a famous general from the Goryeo Dynasty. The festival is known for its impressive night events, fitting for the location named after a falling star, and features a variety of parades and performances. ◎ Gang Gam-chan and Nakseongdae General Gang Gam-chan of Goryeo is said to have been born at the place where the fourth star of the Big Dipper fell. This place is called Nakseongdae, which means “the place where the star fell.”

Gwanak Starlight Walk (관악별빛산책)

Gwanak Starlight Walk is a signature winter festival of Gwanak-gu in Seoul. It's a lighting festival where visitors can enjoy beautiful light installation along Byeolbitnaerincheon Stream. The event area spans 300-meters from Sillimgyo Bridge to Bongnimgyo Bridge. The diverse lighting artworks created by ten different Korean artist teams come together to create a space where stories of individuals all become one as a community. Various hands-on programs offer visitors a chance to see and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city throughout the festival period.

Gwangalli Eobang Festival (광안리어방축제)

The Gwangalli Eobang Festival, held on the famous Gwangalli Beach, known for its fireworks and drone shows, aims to showcase Gwangalli‘s rich history beyond its popularity as a tourist destination. The festival is a manifestation of the history and cultural value of Jwasuyeong Eobang Nori (Fishing Village Festival of the Left Naval Headquarters), a national intangible cultural heritage of Korea. The festival provides attractions and activities of a fishing village that retains its tradition and elements of modernity. A street parade reenacts the procession of Gyeongsang Jwasusa, commander of the Busan naval forces during the Joseon Dynasty. Visitors can check out the musical Eobang, which is the main event of the festival, as well as more than 20 exhibitions and activities in the folk village. The village has recreated the old naval barracks and fishing villages, and actors dressed as jwasusa, sugun (navy soldier), and jumo (barmaid) go around the village to entertain visitors. ◎ EobangFollowing the establishment of Gyeongsang Jwasuyeong (naval forces) in the Suyeong regions during the Joseon Dynasty, the affiliation “Eobang” was formed between the naval forces and local fishermen. “Eobang” holds a similar meaning to the fishery cooperatives of today.

Gwangalli Marvelous Drone Light Show (광안리 M(Marvelous) 드론 라이트쇼)

Every Saturday evening, hundreds of drones light up the night sky over Gwangallihaebyeon Beach in a range of fascinating formations through the Gwangalli Marvelous Drone Light Show. Gwangju ACE Fair (광주 ACE Fair)

Gwangyang Maehwa Festival (광양 매화축제)

Gwangyang Maehwa Festival takes place next to the Seomjingang River in Gwangyang Maehwa Village, home of the largest number of plum blossom trees in Korea. During the festival period, visitors can enjoy a walk beneath the plum blossoms, and also sample and purchase local organic plum products.
