Busan Old Town Revitalization Festival [Taxchelin] (부산원도심활성화축제 [택슐랭])

Busan Sea Festival (부산바다축제)

The Busan Sea Festival takes place at Dadaepo Beach and offers various cultural events and unique hands-on programs. All programs take place against the backdrop of the beautiful beach and sunset, and are carefully organized for a fun and lively event.

Busan Songdo Beach (부산 송도해수욕장)
100 Songdohaebyeon-ro, Seo-gu, Busan
Songdo Beach is 800 meters long and 50 meters wide. The average water level is 1~1.5 meters. It was one of the first beaches to open in Korea in 1913. In 2000, the beach underwent a comprehensive 5-year reconstruction and reopened with restored and expanded coastlines and the addition of several fountains. Nearby attractions include Busan’s famed Jagalchi Seafood Market and Amnam Park. Amnam Park was a military protected area that opened to the public as a nature park in April 1996. Amnam Park, as well as Dudo Park, a famous sea fishing spot, connects to Songdo, where visitors can see a spectacular landscape with seagulls, a symbol of busan, and the quiet seascape with Yeongdo Island in the distance. The area has a variety of accommodation and dining options, and is well equipped with convenience facilities such as an overpass, promenade, boat yard, and parking lot. Amnam Park on the Songdo coast is a coastal ecological park. It has an observatory, a 3.8-kilometer promenade, a roadside cafe, and raw fish restaurants with a panoramic view of the Songdo coast and Busan Namhang Port. Another historically important attraction in the area is the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall that was used as the presidential residence for three years when Busan was the temporary capital during the Korean War.

Busan Sports Complex (부산종합운동장)

Established in 1986, the Busan Sports Complex features the main stadium, Sajik indoor swimming pool, an indoor gymnasium, Sajik Baseball Ground, and an athletes' training center. The main stadium was the venue for the 2002 Asian Games and several matches during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The Busan Sports Complex regularly hosts international sporting and cultural events, while providing excellent facilities for personal as well as group training.
Busan Sports Complex Sajik Baseball Ground (부산사직종합운동장 사직야구장)

Located within the Busan Sports Complex, Busan Sajik Baseball Ground was completed in October 1985 and has served as the home stadium of the Lotte Giants since 1986. The stadium was managed by Busan Metropolitan City until 2008, when its management was transferred to the Lotte Giants. Originally designed as a multipurpose venue for sports such as baseball, soccer, and rugby, the stadium is now used exclusively for baseball games. Official merchandise shops are located within the complex near the main entrance and plaza area. On home game days, additional pop-up stores are also open, offering a variety of baseball-related merchandise.
Busan St Mary's Hospital (부산성모병원)

Busan St. Mary's Hospital, which is almost 20 years old, has 26 departments and 377 beds, with approximately 100 medical staff members and 700 employees. The Specialized Pediatric Center provides differentiated medical services, with six pediatricians as well as specialists in urology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, surgery, rehabilitation medicine, and otolaryngology. The Hospice and Palliative Care Center, designated as a specialized palliative care institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2009, operates a hospice ward while providing home-based hospice care for patients who cannot be hospitalized. In 2007, the hospital opened a sign language interpretation office, the first of its kind in Korea and the only one in Busan. Two professional sign language interpreters working at the office provide sign language interpretation services. Busan St. Mary’s Hospital is a leading medical institution in the community committed to providing optimum medical services to patients by understanding their needs.

Busandaegyo Bridge (부산대교)

Built in 1980, Busandaegyo Bridge connects Yeongdo Island to the mainland. It serves as an industrial road that facilitates the transport of freight and cargo from Yeondong-gu District, the center of the shipbuilding industry and an emerging port. Busandaegyo Bridge is 694 meters long and 20 meters wide, with 16 meters for cars and 2 meters of sidewalk on each side. Compared to other bridges built around the same time, Busandaegyo Bridge has a greater significance in the hearts of the citizens as it was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Busan Port and symbolizes the development of the city.

Buseoksa Temple [UNESCO World Heritage] (부석사[유네스코 세계문화유산])

Founded in 676, Buseoksa Temple is a temple located on the eastern slope of Sobaeksan Mountain. It was established to commemorate the victory of the Silla kingdom (BC 57-AD 935) over the Chinese Tang dynasty during a war at that time. Over the years, it underwent several reconstructions and expansions, resulting in the preservation of numerous cultural assets. Particularly, the "Muryangsujeon Hall" is regarded as one of the most beautiful traditional architectural structures in Korea.
