Maldo Island (말도)

Maldo Island is located in Okdo-myeon, Gunsan, at the end of the Gogunsan Archipelago, and is also known as "Kkeumseom Island" (End-point Island). It is a small island with about 30 households, but due to the surrounding waters being a golden fishing ground, it has the largest lighthouse in the Gogunsan Archipelago, making it a tourist attraction. The island is dotted with unique landmarks such as lighthouses, cheonnyeongsong (millennium pines), and Dalbawi Rock, and is well-known for its beautiful sunset views. Maldo Island was reportedly first settled during the mid-Joseon dynasty by Sim Ban-seo, an exile from Seoul who cultivated the land and laid the foundation for the island's growing population.

The restaurant reinterprets eel with Korean aesthetics, offering a comfortable and elegant dining experience in a space that blends traditional architectural elements with a modern twist. The dishes served here offers an outstanding dining experience where the texture of the eel melts in one's mouth, and its flavor lingers long after. Signature dishes include grilled eel rice bowls, grilled eel, eel gujeolpan (platter of nine delicacies), and eel meal courses. The restaurant also offers seasonal lunch box made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Manbulsa Temple (Yeongcheon) (만불사(영천))

Mancheonha Skywalk (만천하 스카이워크)

Mancheonha Skywalk is located on a cliff of Nahangang River approximately 80-90 meters above waters. Visitors can enjoy walking on the clouds with the view of the waters below. Panoramic view of Danyang and Sobaeksan Mountain can be seen at the observatory. Thrill-seekers can enjoy the glass bottom walkway as well as nearby attractions including zipline and alpine coaster. ◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charm – variety show “Omniscient Interfering View” This is where Lee Young-ja received a plaque of appreciation, and Jeon Hyun-moo and Yoo Byung-jae gave a celebratory performance. Although often featured as an event venue on TV shows, Mancheonha Skywalk is best known for its observatory, with sweeping views of Danyang’s scenery.
