Chilgapsan Recreational Forest opened in 1990 within a lush natural forest. The park offers many amenities to enjoy a relaxing time in nature. Overnight guests can stay in a cabin, complete with heating, a kitchen, and shower, or camp in the campground. The forest is also capable of hosting retreats, with training buildings and a lecture hall. Day visitors can enjoy the many walking trails and hiking paths, as well as a water playground and observation decks. The forest is located next to Chilgapsan Provincial Park, with many valleys in the area for more time in nature, as well as Cheonjangho Lake and Modeoksa Temple.

Gasansanseong Fortress in Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do is located in the middle of Chilgok-gun, between Daegu Metropolitan City and Gumi. Gasansan Mountain (901m in elevation) is 10 kilometers west of Palgongsan Mountain. Because it boasts seven peaks, the mountain was called Chilbongsan Mountain. After enduring foreign invasions, including the Imjin War (1592-1598) and the Qing invasion of Joseon (1636), the Joseon rulers built a fortress over the course of 100 years to aid in Korea’s defense. It is Korea’s only three-layered fortress, consisting of inner, outer and central walls. The flat Gasanbawi Rock at the mountain’s peak, which is large enough to accommodate 100 people at a time, offers a great view of Daegu Metropolitan City.

Chilgok Patriots & Peace Memorial is a memorial museum dedicated to the soldiers who seized victory by holding up a fierce battle at Nakdonggang River's line of defense for 55 days in Chilgok during the Korean War. The museum consists of a spacious four-story high building with two basement floors and an outdoor exhibition with a variety of artifacts. The museum also has battle miniatures and experience facilities to help foster patriotism and appreciation for the soldiers who gave their lives to protect the country.

Chilpo Beach is celebrated for its four kilometers of white sand and crystal-clear waters. The shallow waters near the beach, approximately one meter deep, are ideal for children, while further out, the depth reaches adult shoulder level, making it suitable for swimmers of all ages. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a scenic trek along the wooden deck at the beach's end, offering splendid views of the East Sea. Since 2007, the beach has become even more renowned for hosting the Chilpo Jazz Festival every September. This event presents a unique opportunity to experience live jazz music by the sea, adding a musical charm to the autumn ambiance.

Chimyeongjasan is a sacred site for those of the Catholic faith and a famous pilgrimage attraction in the southeastern region of Jeonju. Perched upon a steep ridge of Seungamsan Mountain behind Hanbyeokdang Pavilion, the area is the final resting place of well-known Catholic couple Yu Jung-cheol (John), Yi Sun-I (Rugalda), who vowed to remained virgins for all eternity. Situated upon the couple’s grave is “Miracle Rock,” a naturally formed rock that is said to be shaped like Jesus and the Virgin Mary. The site is also home to a 4-meter-high stone cross that can be seen from as far away as Hanbyeokdang Pavilion. The 200-meter prayer hike named “The Golgotha Way of the Cross” is one of the most popular pilgrimage routes for Catholics visiting the mountain area. Leading up from the parking lot and Monmartre Square (rest place), the entire path to the summit is strewn with flowers, making the prayer walk an ideal place for a stroll and some quiet meditation.

The Chocolate Museum in Seogwipo, Jeju is the second largest chocolate museum in the world (the largest being the Cologne Chocolate Museum in Germany). Built using volcanic scoria unique to Jeju, the museum looks like an ancient castle and seems to complement the surrounding natural environment. The front yard measures 5,000 meters squared and is surrounded by a low-lying fence made of rough stones, giving even passerbyers a great view of the museum's front garden . At the entrance to the museum, a whimsical statue of a cacao god greets visitors. The museum has three floors and houses a gallery, a theater, a café, a workshop, and a chocolate store. The most popular exhibits are the gallery with various exhibits on chocolate and the workshop showing the chocolate-making process. The chocolate produced at the museum is available for both sampling and purchase. In addition, the 'Collection Square' features a wide array of chocolate cases and other items that Mr. Han Ye-seok, the museum director, has collected from around the world. In the 'Chateâu Chocolat: Real Chocolate Place' chocolate shop at the Chocolate Museum, visitors can get a taste of hand-made chocolates. The Chateâu Chocolat is a retail chocolate chain with franchises in Gyeongbokgung, Apgujeong, Itaewon, and Changdeokgung in Seoul, and Yangyang and Somdari in Gangwon-do.

Just south of Gyeongpo Beach is Chodang Dubu Village, which is famous for dubu (tofu). Chodang dubu is made from ground beans and salt water from the East Sea resulting in a soft and light tofu. The name of this village, Chodang, originates from the name of a famous family that once lived here known as Chodang Heoyeop. Heoyeop was the father of son, writer/poet Heo Gyun (1569~1618) and daughter, poet Heonan-seolheon (1563~1589). A traditional-style Korean house has been reconstructed on the site where the original house of Heo Gyun and Heonan Seolheon once stood.

The House of Choi Champan is known as the setting of the famous novel "Toji" ("The Land") by noted novelist Park Kyongni. Located in a small folk literature village in Agyang-myeon, Pyeongsa-ri along the Seomjingang River at the foot of Jirisan Mountain, Choi Champandaek consists of fourteen hanok (traditional Korean house) buildings. Also used as the main set of the drama version of "Toji" (2004), Choi Champandaek gives visitors a look at the life of Korean people in the late Joseon era. The house has not only made its appearance in many films, but is also a valuable cultural asset of Hadong-gun. The Daecheong Maru (wooden-floored hall) connected to the Sarangchae (men’s quarters in a hanok) offers a wide view of the vast field of Pyeongsa-ri and gives an opportunity to meditate and reflect while appreciating the beautiful surroundings. Located in the vicinity are numerous tourist attractions including the Pyeongsari Literature Center, Hwagae Market, and Ssanggyesa Temple. During fall season every year, Choi Champandaek hosts the Toji Literature Festival.
