Seoul Hyochang Park (서울 효창공원)

Hyochang Park covers 122,245 square meters spanning across Hyochang-dong and Cheongpa 2-dong. It is a historic landmark that once contained several royal tombs, and was known at that time as Hyochangwon. The cemeteries that were originally located in Hyochangwon belonged to Crown Prince Munhyo, King Jeongjo’s first son who died at the age of five; Royal Noble Consort Uibin of the Seong Clan, King Jeongjo’s royal concubine and Crown Prince Munhyo’s mother; Royal Noble Consort Sugui of the Park Clan, King Sunjo’s royal concubine; and her daughter Princess Yeongon. The royal tombs were moved to Seooreung Tombs in the waning months of the Japanese colonial period. The Japanese empire began the development of Hyochangwon into a park in 1924, and the Japanese governor-general officially assigned the site as a park in 1940. Presently, several of Korea’s greatest leaders are buried in Hyochang Park. The remains mostly belong to independence activists including Yoon Bong-gil, Lee Bong-chang, and Baek Jeong-gi, whose graves are collectively known as Samuisa Tomb. A statue of Lee Bong-chang has been built in the graveyard. Among the other patriotic martyrs who are interred in the park are Kim Gu and some of the key figures of the provisional government such as Lee Dong-nyeong, Cha I-seok, and Cho Seong-hwan. An ancestral shrine named Uiyeolsa has been built along the main gate and holds the portraits of the deceased independence activists.
Seoul International Writers' Festival (서울국제작가축제)

The festival provides the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of literature through programs such as meeting Korean and international authors and participating in writers' workshop.

Seoul Yangnyeongsi Market is an herbal medicine specialty market that distributes 70% of the herbal medicines traded in Korea and is a Korean medicine-themed town with over a thousand businesses related to oriental medicine, including oriental medicine clinics and herbal medicine stores. The Seoul K-Medi Center, located in this center of Korean herbal medicine culture, is an oriental medicine complex cultural facility that promotes the excellence and safety of traditional Korean medicine through various exhibitions, education, and experiences. The building is unique in that it harmonizes the simplicity of modern architecture with Korean elegance. Visitors can enjoy various experiences in many different facilities in the center, including the Herb Medicine Museum, where one can expand their understanding of Korean medicine by examining over 300 types of medicinal herbs and their effects; the Herb Medicine Experience Room, where visitors can experience herbal medicine natural face packs and herbal heat packs; and Yakseon Food Experience Center, where visitors can learn about healthy recipes using medicinal herbs and make healthy foods.
Seoul Lantern Festival (서울빛초롱축제)
Seorin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul Area of Cheonggyecheon Stream
The Seoul Lantern Festival is held every year and is one of the most anticipated festivals in Seoul. With various themed lanterns around Cheonggyecheon Stream, visitors can enjoy both traditional lanterns and modern LED lanterns. The festival provides much to see and do with the addition of Gwanghwamun Square Market.
Seoul Marina Club & Yacht (서울마리나 요트&클럽)

Located right behind the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, this marina facility has a rather unique scenery that one cannot easily find in Korea, thanks to the view of the Hangang River and the yachts moored at the marina. Professionals operate the yachts here, so safety is guaranteed. Yacht rides here are popular because one can enjoy a sailing experience in the city center. Another draw of the yacht rides here is the scenery of Seoul, especially at night.

Seoul Miz Hospital (서울미즈병원)

Seoul Miz Hospital is a women’s specialized hospital located in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. It provides medical services in obstetrics and gynecology, breast and thyroid surgery, internal medicine, dermatology and plastic surgery, and pediatrics, while also operating a health promotion center. With its newly expanded building, the hospital has established an International Medical Center to support the treatment of foreign patients.
Seoul Mongchontoseong Earthen Fortification (서울 몽촌토성)
424, Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul
Mongchontoseong Earthen Fortification is an ancient earthen fortress built during the Hanseong period of the ancient Korean kingdom of Baekje (BC 18-AD 660). It is believed to have been constructed in the 3rd to 4th centuries. Utilizing the natural advantages of the Hangang River, it served defensive purposes with its trench and log barrier. Excavated relics from the Baekje era are on display at the Seoul Baekje Museum. The site is situated within the Olympic Park in Songpa, Seoul.
Seoul Mountain Climbing & culture center (산악문화체험센터)

In episode 4 of the drama "Numbers," the character Shim Hyeong-woo goes climbing at the Seoul Mountain Climbing & Culture Center. This center offers a climbing facility where you can enjoy mountain culture and sports together. It features exhibition facilities for experiencing mountain culture and both indoor and outdoor sports climbing.
Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) (서울시립 북서울미술관)

The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) coexists with its local community. Located in Nowon-gu, an area name that is derived from the “Reed Hill” nearby, the museum is an open structure with its entrance connected to a park. In addition to outdoor sculpture exhibitions, it offers maze-like galleries, an art library, a cafe, and a multipurpose hall. These spaces host a variety of programs for families, which make up the majority of visitors to this museum.
Seoul Museum of Art (서울시립미술관(서소문본관))

The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) is a space for all to meet and experience the joy of art. Seoul Museum of Craft Art (SeMoCA) (서울공예박물관)

The Seoul Museum of Craft Art (SeMoCA), the first public museum of craft art in Korea, opened its doors in Anguk-dong, Jongno-gu, in July 2021 after renovating five buildings of the former Pungmoon Girls’ High School. SeMoCA studies and shares not only works, but also information, records, people, and environment related to craft art with the goal of becoming a dynamic platform for experiencing the technical, practical, artistic, and cultural values of craft. SeMoCA holds a collection that comprises various crafts and craft materials covering multiple fields and eras from the traditional to the present. SeMoCA also holds exhibitions that feature the history of craft from traditional to contemporary art as well as local and children’s crafts, along with programs that utilize the museum’s craft installations, craft archives, craft library, and craft resource management system. The site of the museum has deep historical roots as it is also the Andong Secondary Palace Site, where a detached palace was constructed as a royal residence for King Sejong’s son Prince Yeongeung, and served as a venue for royal celebrations, such as the wedding of King Sunjong. The site is also at the center of Jongno-gu, where Joseon-era master artisans (“gyeonggongjang”) of the royal palace produced and delivered craft works.
Seoul Museum of History (서울역사박물관)

Seoul Museum of History covers everything about Seoul's history and culture from the prehistoric era to modern times, focusing especially on the Joseon era. The museum aims to raise cultural awareness and build a strong bond within the community by collecting, preserving, researching, and displaying artifacts and materials related to Seoul as well as promoting the city's history and culture to an international audience.
Seoul Namsan Gugakdang (서울 남산국악당)
28, Toegye-ro 34-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
Seoul Namsan Gukakdang was established by Seoul Metropolitan Government as a representative traditional art-centered performance hall in 2007. It is comprised of one ground and two basement levels. The performance hall is located on the basement floor with 300 seats, equipped with facilities that deliver pansori sounds and gayageum music to every seat. Visitors can make a reservation at the Namsangol Hanok Village website.
Seoul Namsan Park (남산공원(서울))
231 Samil-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul
Namsan Mountain rises in the heart of Seoul at an altitude of 265 meters and has been a significant landmark since the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897), leaving behind several ruins. It was heavily damaged in the early 20th century, but was partially restored in 1968 with the creation of the park. Highlights include Namsan Tower and love locks left by numerous couples. Visitors can also easily reach the top by a cable car or bus.
