Sorae Marsh Ecological Park (소래습지생태공원)

Sorae Marsh Ecological Park is located on a vast plot of land in Incheon. The park first opened in June 1999 at the site of an old saltern on a 660,000 ㎡ plot but has expanded over the years to an area of 3.5 million ㎡. The previous salt storage has been converted into an ecology exhibition space, displaying the history of the area as well as the plants and animals that live here. The park expanded in April 2001 with the addition of the Ecology Hall and Nature Learning Center, offering various educational experience opportunities. The walking paths by the salt storage and the windmill are especially popular photo points. Many people visit in fall for the shimmering silver grass, said to appear in many colors depending on the lighting. The park amenities, including rest areas and benches, make the park a popular destination for families and couples.
Sorae Port (소래포구)

Sorae Port is located in Namdong-gu, Incheon, and is one of the most accessible places to feel the sea in the metropolitan area. It has a painful past and is also a tourist destination created by that bitter past. In the late 1930s, it began developing with the construction of a railroad to exploit high-quality salt, a raw material for gunpowder, from the area. After liberation, displaced people gathered to catch shrimp with one or two non-powered ships, made salted shrimp, and took Suin Line trains to Incheon, Suwon, Bupyeong, Seoul, etc., from dawn to sell them, and make a living. The fish market is famous for shrimp, salted seafood, and blue crab. Fresh seafood, generous merchants, and the sound of seagulls drawing patterns in the blue sky following the fishing boats leave a deep aftertaste. In particular, when prawns and blue crabs are in season, the freshness and taste are excellent enough to hold a festival. By the port is a newly renovated fish market spans from the first basement floor to the second floor above the ground, and there are about 340 shops, including 300 hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants and salted seafood shops. In particular, the second floor is a restaurant where visitors can taste hoe purchased at the fish market, and there are also convenient facilities such as a nursery cafe. In addition, the recently built Shrimp Tower Observatory is 21 meters high and good for a small number of people to enjoy the scenery comfortably.

Soraepogu Festival (소래포구 축제)

Soraepogu Festival, a maritime ecology festival, has been held annually since 2001. Sorae Port has become a popular attraction, visited by over 7 million domestic and international tourists each year. During the festival, visitors can enjoy Sorae Marsh Eco Park, Shrimp Tower, and Haeoreumhosu Lake. Festival programs include seafood-catching events like shrimp and crab catching, various cultural performances, and engaging events.

Soraepogu Pocha Street (소래포구 포차거리)
12 Soraeyeok-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon
Located just in front of the Sorae Fish Market, Soraepogu Pocha Street comes alive in the evening as a vibrant street filled with food stalls. Visitors are treated to an array of fresh seafood dishes, including daeha sogeum gui (salt-grilled prawn), kkotgejjim (steamed blue crab) and kkotge twigim (fried blue crab). Additionally, patrons have the unique opportunity to purchase hoe (sliced raw fish), directly from the fish market and pair it with the street food offerings.

Soraesan Mountain (소래산)
Daeya-dong, Sincheon-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do
Soraesan Mountain, with an altitude of 299 meters, is situated between Siheung and Incheon. Its name "Sorae" originates from the area's old name, reflecting its rich heritage. The scenic mountain features a forest park, badminton courts, basketball courts, futsal fields, and various other amenities. Notably, midway up the mountain stands the striking Standing Rock-carved Bodhisattva, an impressive 15 meters tall. With numerous hiking trails, the summit of Soraesan Mountain offers breathtaking views of the Yellow Sea, Seoul, and Incheon.
Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do (한국소리문화의전당)

SOSEOLJAE (소설재(첨성대점))

Located on a side street in Cheomseongdae in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Soseoljae is a hanok stay combining traditional charm with modern facilities.The larger stand-alone guestroom has its own tea room, while 11 other rooms accomodate 2 or 3 people. Soso House is a private hanok stay located in Seochon, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Once you enter the gate, you are greeted by a small yard paved with stones and an alpine apple tree. There is a stool on one side of the yard where you can enjoy a cup of tea on a sunny day. In the daecheong maru (wooden-floored hall, there is a master bedroom on one side and a kitchen on the other, and the master bedroom has an attic. Cooking is allowed, and complimentary breakfast includes toast, salad, and coffee, as well as complimentary homemade fruit syrup and tea bags. Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Museum of History, and Park No-Soo Art Museum are all within walking distance.

Sosuseowon Confucian Academy (영주 소수서원)

Sosuseowon Confucian Academy is situated at the foothills of Sobaeksan Mountain. Sosuseowon was the first to receive a royal charter as a private Confucian academy along with financial support and acknowledgement by the king. This academy was originally founded under the name Baegundongseowon in 1542 by a Confucian scholar Ju Se-bung, who was also the magistrate of Punggi County at the time. Baegundongseowon first started as an academic institution that enshrined a memorial tablet of An Hyang, a Confucian scholar whom Ju Se-bung had deep respect for. After Ju Se-bung left the county, Toegye Yi Hwang, a renowned Confician scholar, became his successor and made an official request to the king to be granted a royal charter. The request was well received, and the king renamed the institution to its current name, Sosuseowon.
Soswaewon Garden (담양 소쇄원)

Soswaewon Garden is a private garden from the Joseon period where Korea's traditional beauty is preserved. It was built by Yang San-Bo (1503-1557) after he gave up his success when his mentor Jo Gwang-Jo (1482-1519) was killed during political strife. Soswaewon Garden presents itself as a clean and transparent garden where the righteous enjoy the life of anbinnakdo (being comfortable amid poverty and taking pleasure in an honest lifestyle) surrounded by a bamboo grove. Including peach trees, various kinds of trees and grass are planted on both sides of the stream while clear water flows down the foot of the garden walls. The log bridge above the valley adds to the charm of the scenery. The harmony between nature and the artificial waterfall is a sight to behold. Soswaewon Garden is 150 meters away from the main road. Passing through the thick bamboo forest, you will find the small valley and Soswaewon Garden on your left.
