Yongsan Observatory offers an unobstructed view of Suncheonman Bay's large S-shaped waterway. The observatory can be reached by following the trail through the field of reeds, crossing over Daedae Estuary on Mujingyo Bridge. With a birds-eye-view, take in the vast fields of reeds and mudflats, dotted throughout with groups of birds wading through in search of food.

Suncheonman National Garden & Suncheonman Wetland is the first national garden of South Korea and one of the five major coastal wetlands in the world. The national garden spans 1.12 million square meters and is located in Dosa-dong, Suncheon-si. It is home to 790,000 trees covering 505 species, and 3.15 million flowers covering 113 species. During spring, tulips and royal azaleas are in full bloom, creating magnificent views. Additionally, there is a 30,000 square-meter canola flower field near the Forest of Sharing. You can see yellow waves of canola flowers in full bloom in mid-May. The city of Suncheon has planted 50,000 Japanese hackberries and zelkova trees along major routes in the area to create natural shade. There is a small unmanned personal rapid transit (PRT) system that operates between the Suncheonman National Garden and the Suncheon Literary Museum section (4.64 kilometers in length). After looking around the garden, visitors can take the PRT to the literary museum. There, they can take the Reed Train which travels 1.2 kilometers to Mujingyo Bridge located at the entrance of Suncheonman National Garden. Eco-friendly transportation is also available, such as the Sky Cube, which runs between Suncheonman National Garden and the wetland.◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charm - variety show"Battle Trip Season 2"This is the place where Mi-na of Gugudan and Yoo-jung of Weki Meki, two friends of the same age, set out to see the spring flowers as 20-year-olds. Suncheonman Sup is a private hanok pension located 1.4 kilometers from the Suncheon Bay Wetland, where guests may enjoy a stroll through a nearby pine grove while taking in the fresh air. The pension has nine private rooms that ensure privacy and convenience. Guests can choose between ondol (underfloor heated) rooms and bedrooms at the pension. Each room is equipped with a private terrace and barbecue area. Summer guests can enjoy the kiddie pool in some rooms. Sungnyemun Gate is Korea’s National Treasure No. 1, and its unofficial name is Namdaemun Gate. Sungnyemun Gate is the largest castle gate stone structure with an arched entrance in the middle. There’s a column on top of a platform, raising the roof, distinguishing the upper stories and lower stories of the building. Passageways for traffic are located at the east and west ends of the gate. Different from the other gates, Sungnyemun Gate’s tablet has its name written vertically. On February 10, 2008, Sungnyemun was destroyed by fire. After a 5-year reconstruction work, the gate was re-opened to the public again on May 4, 2013.

Sungsimdang was first established as a small bakery selling jjinbbang (steamed bun) in front of Daejeon Station in 1956, and has since become an iconic bakery that represents Daejeon as well as Korea's baked goods. Baked goods at Sungsimdang are all handmade using quality ingredients and reach almost 400 in variety, including breads that uses slow-bread process which requires a 16-hour fermentation.

Sungsimdang Culture Space is located along Euneungjeongi Culture Street. It was created by renovating a former dormitory building near the main branch of Sungsimdang in 2022. Not only is Sungsimdang one of the most famous bakeries in Korea, it has maintained its reputation as an iconic local business that represents Daejeon since its opening in 1956. Sungsimdang Culture Space focuses on sharing the philosophy of Sungsimdang and the sentiments of Daejeon. It consists of one basement floor and four above-ground floors, designed with cultural spaces and diverse attractions on each floor that includes a cafe and a place where people can sit their purchased baked goods from Sungsimdang.
