Ganwolsan Mountain (간월산)

Ganwolsan Mountain is a popular destination for hikers in the Ulsan and Busan area as well as other regions of Gyeongsangnam-do. In early August, the reeds and lilies near the summit create a splendid view. To the west, the deep Naerijeong and Wangbonggol Valleys channel clean water to Baenaegol Pass. From the Ganwolgogae Pass, hikers can follow the Singal Path to Wanbonggol Pass towards Paraeso Falls. There, visitors will find a cave called Jungnimgul, which is sacred Catholic ground often visited by the Catholic faithful. The first church built by Catholics in the Yeongnam region to escape persecution is found in Buldanggol Pass in Ganwolsan Mountain area. The tomb of Kim Agatha who died in persecution is also in the Ganwolgol Valley.
Ganwolsan Recreation Forest (간월산 자연휴양림)

Ganwolsan Recreation Forest is situated northeast of Ganwolsan Mountain, often referred to as the Alps of Korea. This picturesque recreational forest boasts dense pine forests, royal azaleas, maple trees, and pristine valleys. Accommodation facilities within the woods, a campfire site, thirty forest experience courses, a water playground, a forest park, and a sports field enhance the visitor experience. Following the hiking trails leads to observatory, and there are excellent walking paths for forest bathing. Nearby, the picturesque Jakcheonjeonggyegok Valley, famous for its cherry blossoms lane, awaits exploration.
Gapado Island (가파도)

Gapado Island is Jeju's fourth largest island, located off the southwestern coast. The island is said to look like a ray swimming in the waves, giving the island its name. A bicycle rental shop is located right at the harbor, allowing visitors to tour the entire island in 1-2 hours. The best time to visit Gapado Island is in April and May, when the barley is ripe. Gapgi Hoegwan Main Branch (갑기회관 본점)

The signature menu of this restaurant is yagyong bibimbap (medicinal bibimbap), which has rice cooked in water boiled with seven to eight medicinal herbs. The yagyong bibimbap features not only traditional bibimbap ingredients but also medicinal ingredients, such as chestnuts and jujube, which add flavor and health benefits. The restaurant also makes its own red chili paste, which gains a mild sweetness from apples, pear, and onions used in fermentation.
Gapgi Hoegwan Main Branch (갑기회관 본점)

The signature 'Yagyongbibimbap' (medicinal bibimbap) features rice cooked in water infused with seven to eight medicinal herbs. In addition to standard toppings, ingredients such as chestnuts and jujube as well as a few medicinal herbs are included. The house-made chili paste, fermented with apple, pear, and onion, adds a subtle, pleasantly sweet flavor.
Gapsa Temple (갑사)
567-3, Gapsa-ro, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do
Gapsa Temple is located in the forested foothills of Gyeryongsan Mountain, 19 kilometers from Gongju and a three-hour walk from Donghaksa Temple. The temple is most beautiful during fall when surrounded by crimson foliage. Gapsa Temple was established by monk Adohwasang in 420, during the early Baekje Period. The temple's beauty allowed it to escape destruction many times, but it was ultimately burned down during the Imjin War (1592-1598). The current structures were built in 1604. Nearby attractions include Yongmunpokpo Falls, Sujeongbong Peak, and Cheonjinbotab Pagoda.
Gapsagyegok Valley (갑사계곡)

Gapsagyegok Valley is a valley located on the northwest slope of Gyeryongsan Mountain in Gongju-si. With moderate temperatures even in summer, it is suitable as a recreational area, while the autumn foliage adds to its beauty. At the entrance lies Gapsa Temple, a Buddhist temple with various cultural assets, offering insights into Korean Buddhist culture. Within the valley, visitors can enjoy forest walks and view attractions such as the Yongmunpokpo Falls.
Gapyeong Begonia Bird Park (가평베고니아새정원)

The Gapyeong Begonia Bird Park offers a healing space in the pristine environment of Gapyeong, featuring both outdoor and indoor gardens, a Bird Park with rare species of birds, and various interactive experiences. The indoor garden includes a flower zone, an infinity zone, and a bird zone. Visitors can appreciate beautiful flowers such as begonias, take stunning photos with the mirror media façade and various photo zones with floral backdrops, and see rare birds in the Bird Park. The three-themed outdoor garden showcases seasonal flowers that bloom throughout the year, along with a mystery garden and a water garden, making it a perfect travel destination in any season.
Gapyeong Hyeonam Agricultural Heritage Museum (가평현암농경유물박물관)

Situated in Buk-myeon, Gyeonggi-do, Gapyeong Hyeonam Agricultual Heritage Museum was established by Gyeonggi-do Gapyeong Office of Education. It is situated inside Gapyeongbuk Middle School, making it easy to visit for anyone interested in learning about the wisdom and spirit of Koreans' ancestors as well as the development of Korea's traditional culture. It mainly displays farming relics and is comprised of five halls.
Gapyeong Italian Village, Pinocchio and Da Vinci (피노키오와 다빈치)

◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charm - "Vincenzo" It is a theme park that introduces Italian culture under the themes of 'Pinocchio' and Leonardo da Vinci, the representative Italian fairy tales. The Italian scenes in the drama were actually filmed in Italy and at this location. The Italian village is delicately reproduced to the extent that it is difficult to tell if it is not known. The 10.8 m high statue of Pinocchio standing at the entrance is a photo point. If you go up to the observatory, you can see the back of the statue and the lake in the distance.
Gapyeong Rail Park (가평레일파크)

The railbike tour departing from Gapyeong Rail Park passes through Gapyeongcheon Stream Iron Bridge, Bukhanggang Iron Bridge and Zelkova Tree Tunnel before turning back to Gapyeong Rail Park. This route is featured in the Korean film "The Letter (1997)," and thus loved by both couples and photographers looking to capture some beautiful scenes along the old railroad track. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful river view while getting some light exercise with loved ones.
Gapyeong Sledding Hills (가평사계절썰매장)

Located in Deokhyeon-ri, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, Gapyeong Sledding Hills is close to Jojongcheon Stream and clean valleys. It operates water sledding hills during summer and ice sledding hills during winter to give a fun experience to children. Spanning the area of 9,780㎡, it is comprised of varied slopes, moving walkways, snack bar, restaurant, resting area, changing room, shower facility, outdoor swimming pool for children and adults, shaded shelter and other subsidiary facilities. It is the sole leisure experience area for families located in the metropolitan area.
Garam Choyeonjae (가람초연재)

Garam Choyeonjae stands within Hahoe Traditional Village in a loop of the beautiful Nakdonggang River in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Among Hahoe’s tile-roofed old houses, this one’s thatched roof stands out. ‘Garam’ was the pen name of the owner’s grandfather - a descendant of the Joseon scholar Seoae Ryu Seong-ryong - while ‘Choyeonjae’ means a thatched house where swallows live. The swallows’ nest is still there under the eaves, and sunset views from the wooden terrace of the sarangchae (men’s house) are a dreamy experience. Visitors can also learn about traditional technologies such as treadmills and millstones.
