Geoje Sea World (거제씨월드)

Geoje Sea World, the largest dolphin theme park in Korea, is located in Geoje. As one of the main attractions in the area, it is the only place in Korea that offers experience programs with the white beluga whales. Visitors can meet and interact with dolphins and beluga whales up close and also participate in the marine education program.

Geojedo Haegeumgang Islets (거제도 해금강)
1 Galgot-ri, Nambu-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
Haegeumgang Islets is a tourist attraction located in front of the Windy Hill on Geojedo Island, known as a rocky island within the Hallyeohaesang National Park. While its shape resembles the spreading roots of arrowroot, hence its name "Galdo," it is widely referred to as Haegeumgang, representing the sea's Geumgangsan Mountain. Famous for its sunrise and sunset views, they are best observed from Ilwolbong Peak or Sajabawi Rock. Visitors can enjoy stunning landscapes, including the Sipja Cave, Mireukbawi Rock, Chotdaebawi Rock, and a 1,300-year-old pine tree, by taking a ferry tour.

Geojedo Island (거제도)
Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
Geojedo Island is the second-largest island in South Korea, connected to Tongyeong-si by the Geojedaegyo Bridge and to Busan-si by the Geogadaegyo Bridge. It boasts numerous tourist attractions such as Haegeumgang Islets, Oedo Botania, Maemiseong Fortress, and Geoje P.O.W. Camp Historic Park. Famous for its local cuisine like sea pineapple bibimbap and sea urchin and seaweed soup, Geojedo Island is also known for its pebble beaches including Hakdong, Yeocha, Mangchi, and Nongso Pebblehaebyeon Beach.
Geojin Port (거진항)

Geojin port is renowned for its pollack and squid fishing and is one of the top producers of pollack in Korea. Visitors can indulge in a variety of dishes featuring this fish. Popular options include myeongtae seogeori (julienne radish fresh salad with fresh pollack gills) and myeongnan sikae (salted and fermented pollack roe tossed with millet). Nearby attractions include Geojin Lighthouse Sunrise Park, Geojin Haemajibong Forest Park, and Geojin 1-ri Beach.

Geological Museum (지질박물관)

The Geological Museum located in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, is the nation’s first comprehensive museum dedicated to geology. The museum, established in 2001, operates with the goal of promoting public understanding and support of the field of geology, offering geology-related movies/videos, lectures and diverse hands-on experience programs. There is even a geology specimen center where samples are preserved for use by researchers.

Geombongsan Recreational Forest (검봉산자연휴양림)
525-145, Imwonan-gil, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do
Geombongsan Mountain (alt. 681.6 m) poses an exciting challenge for mountain bike enthusiasts. The mountain ridge is covered with varied flower species including royal azaleas, iris, polygala, and violets. The summit of Geombongsan Mountain offers views of the boundless sea to the east, the sharply rising Eungbongsan Mountain (alt. 998.5 m) to the south, and the slightly taller Sageumsan Mountain (alt. 1,092 m) to the west. The mountain is only a 5 to 10-minute-drive from Imwon Beach, which makes a great summer vacation destination.

Geomdan Prehistory Museum (인천 검단선사박물관)

In 1999, an excavation for cultural relics was carried out in the area of Geomdan. As a result of the excavation, various relics and remains from the Bronze Age and Old Stone Age to the Joseon period were found, leading to the opening of the Geomdan Prehistory Museum on November 27, 2008. The museum showcases the lifestyle of prehistoric times and offers hands-on programs.

Geomdansan Mountain (검단산)
Cheonhyeong-dong, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do
Geomdansan Mountain (alt. 657 m) is one of the major mountains in Hanam. During the Baekje period, it was a sacred mountain where the kings would offer ceremonial services to the gods. From the summit, one can get a great view of Yangsuri, where the Namhangang River and Bukhangang River meet, as well as Hanam, Seoul, Yangpyeong, and Paldangho Lake area. Due to its proximity to the Seoul Metropolitan Area, it is a popular day trip course. Getting there is easy and the hiking trails, which are not too difficult, are well maintained. From the summit, one can get a great view of Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain in the distance. Hikers can also see Paldang Dam to the east, Yongmasan Mountain to the south, and the Jungbu Expressway to the west.

Geommasan National Recreational Forest (국립 검마산자연휴양림 )

Situated in Subi-myeon in Yeongyang-gun, Geommasan National Recreational Forest abounds with phytoncide given off by the trees. This is a place where visitors can engage in programs to discipline the mind and body. The forest offers accommodation facilities, a place for observing indigenous plants, tent sites, outdoor decks, hiking trails, and various other convenience facilities.
Geommeolle Beach (검멀레해변)
Udohaean-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do
Under Udobong Peak is Geommeolle Beach, a very small beach, reaching only about 100 meters in total length, with a name literally translating to "black sand" in the Jeju dialect. Visitors can enjoy a beautiful sunrise, peaceful beach and the cool ocean water in the cave at the end of the beach.

Geomokjang Minbak Lodging (거목장민박)
63 , Minbakchon-gil, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do
Geomokjang Minbak (‘B&B’) stands at the foot of Mount Doryunsan, Hanam-gun, Jeollanam-do, and is part of Museon Hanok Minbak Village. The hanok’s pillars and rafters are built of old pinewood, and the wooden floors, windows and doors are lined with Korean paper. All 7 rooms have modern bathrooms. In the large tree-shaded yard you can experience bonsai making for a small fee, while beyond the low stone wall are fields and trees. Geomokjang is a good base for exploring Haenam and is on the way to Daeheungsa, a temple with a thousand years of history.

Geomunoreum Lava Tube stands out as one of the distinct oreum (the Jeju language term for parasitic cones) on Jeju Island, marked by its extensive network of around 20 lava tubes running through the volcanic structure. This site is not only a geological marvel but also a sanctuary for diverse biological species. Visitors begin their journey at the Jeju World Natural Heritage Center, from where a path leads directly to the Geomunoreum Lava Tube. It is important to note that prior reservations are required to visit. The significance of this location as a key geological feature was recognized when it was designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. Additionally, an international trekking event is hosted annually to celebrate its global importance.
