German Village (독일마을)

The German Village was built for Korean residents who returned from living in Germany. Many Koreans lived in Germany where they earned foreign currency during the modernization of Korea in the 1960s. The area is now a unique tourism spot related to German culture. In 2001, the areas of Mulgeon-ri, Samdong-myeon, Namhae-gun, where the Windbreak Forest (Natural Monument) is located, underwent a development worth 3 billion won ($2 million USD) implemented by Namhae-gun and eventually formed a village spanning over 99,174 ㎡. Korean residents in Germany directly imported materials from Germany to build German-style houses. Some villagers who make frequent visits to Germany operate their vacant house as a tourist guesthouse. Attractions nearby are the Windbreak Forest and the Mulmi Coastal Road, one of the most beautiful coastal drives in Korea.

Geum Parasitic Cone (금오름)
Geumakbuk-ro, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do
Geum Parasitic Cone is one of the most famous parasitic cones in the western mountainous region of Jeju. It is a satellite volcanic edifice that has a large circular crater (52 meters deep) and a crater at the summit, and the two peaks in the south and the north are connected by a low slope from east to west. The crater at the summit once held an abundant volume of water but it is now empty. The name Geum Parasitic Cone is speculated to have derived from an archaic word "Gom," which means "god." Therefore, it can be interpreted that this parasitic cone has been deified since the ancient times. Pines, cedars, briers, bo trees and Oriental photinia can be found near the circular crater and the lake area.

GeumBong-Museum (시화문화마을 금봉미술관)

Opened in 2015, GeumBong-Museum has 291 art works of painter Park HaengBo. The museum also has various contemporary art works to further spread the knowledge of both traditional and contemporary art. It offer classes and exhibition to support the local art culture.

Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival (금천패션영화제)

The Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival is the nation's only film festival to focus on the theme of fashion, and takes place in the fashion industry sector of Geumcheon-gu.

Geumdaegyegok Valley (금대계곡)
546-22 Chiak-ro, Panbu-myeon, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do
Geumdaegyegok Valley is the most frequented destination for visitors to Chiaksan National Park. Known for its clear and cool waters, which flow gently and are not too deep, it presents an ideal location for summer swimming. However, it's important to note that the valley is only open temporarily during the summer season. Visitors should check the specific opening days in advance to plan their visit accordingly.
Geumdan Yangman (금단양만)

This restaurant operates its own eel farm, offering freshwater eel at relatively affordable prices. The first floor functions as a retail space, while the second floor is the dining area. Live eel can be purchased and prepared on-site, then either taken to-go or grilled upstairs to eat right away.

Geumdanggyegok Valley (금당계곡)
766-2, Geumdanggyegok-ro, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
Geumdanggyegok Valley, located upstream of the Pyeongchanggang River, is a gorge between three different districts of Bongpyeong-myeon, Yongpyeong-myeon and Daehwa-myeon, just west of Geumdangsan Mountain (1,173 m). Geumdanggyegok Valley is an impressive site with sections of both gentle and fast flowing valley waters. From late March through April full-blown azalea covers the mountainsides and valleys providing visitors with a refreshing spring scent. To reach Geumdanggyegok Valley, travel down along the Pyeongchanggang River from Jangpyeong or trek up the valley from Anmi Elementary School. Coming down to Pyeongchang-eup from Daehwa-myeon area, visitors will encounter an intersection called, “Saechugeori”. The intersection has two parts: Sanganmi and Haanmiri and a sign indicating the Geumdanggyegok Valley entrance. Across the valley, odd-shaped rock formations and cliffs appear one after another along the river. The area is a native habitat for a species of otter (Natural Treasure No. 330) and a favorite spot for catching catfish.
Geumdwaeji Sikdang (금돼지식당)

Geumdwaeji Sikdang is renowned as one of the top three pork restaurants in Seoul, specializing in pork dishes. Its signature menu item is the nunkkon moksal (grilled pork shoulder), known for its marbled appearance resembling snowflakes. Bonsamgyeop (grilled bone-in pork belly) and deungmoksal (short loin and pork shoulder) are also popular choices. They offer fragrant basil wraps as a side dish, which perfectly complements the slightly grilled basil with the juicy and flavorful meat, creating a harmonious taste sensation that is considered a delicacy at this establishment.
Geumgang Lohas Daecheong Park (금강로하스대청공원)

Geumgang Lohas Daecheong Park is situated near the Geumgang River and Daechung Dam. It borders Daecheongho Lake and the Geumgang River, featuring a waterfront deck where visitors can observe various bird species such as herons and the Red Leaf Willow habitat. The park also includes the Daecheong Culture Exhibition Hall, a lawn area, a Rock Garden, a Metasequoia Forest Park, and a children's forest playground.

Geumgang Park (금강공원)

Geumgang Park is a park located at the foot of Geumjeongsan Mountain, near the Dongnae Hot Springs Area. It features lush forests of naturally grown trees, majestic cliffs, and valleys creating breathtaking scenery. Throughout the park, there are numerous historical relics and ruins. A cable car is available for visitors to ascend Geumjeongsan Mountain, offering panoramic views of downtown Busan. Nearby attractions include the Busan Folk Art Center, Busan Marine Natural History Museum, and Geumgang Botanical Garden.

Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge (금강보행교)
Sejong-ri, Sejong-si
Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge, a landmark of Sejong-si, opened in March 2022. It is the first two-story bridge in Korea, and its futuristic design inspired by the concept of traveling through time contributes to beautifying the city's aesthetics. The upper part of the pedestrian bridge is equipped with a rest area, space for events and activities, and other convenience facilities, whereas the lower part is a bicycle-only road for safety and smoooth riding.

Geumgang Recreational Forest (Arboretum, Forest Museum) (금강자연휴양림(금강수목원,산림박물관))

Along the river from Gongju toward Daejeon there is Geumgang River to the right. Following this river, there is a red arch-shaped bridge on the right called Bultigyo Bridge. Geumgang Recreational Forest, a large and well-organized forest, is located on the other side of this bridge. In the past, this remote village can only be reached by boat. In 1994, the Chungnam Forest Environment Research Institute moved to this area and designated the well-preserved dense forest as Geumgang Recreational Forest, and the Forest Museum opened in October 1997. Geumgang Recreational Forest is different from other recreational forests. Rather than a dense forest with a trail, this forest has a variety of attractions such as the Forest Museum, an arboretum, greenhouse, pond, and wildlife park scattered on well-maintained roads, giving the impression of a city park.

Geumgang Yakdol (금강약돌)

Geumgang Yakdol is a jjimjilbang uses a rare mineral called "geumgang yakdol," believed to emit far-infrared rays and negative ions that promote health and recovery. It has a salt room and a hot steam chamber, the latter heated with real charcoal for an authentic experience. The location was also featured in "The Atypical Family (2024)" as the place where Do Da-hae and her accomplices plot to steal the Bok family’s fortune.

Geumgangsong Ecorium (금강송 에코리움)

Geumgwanghosu Lake (금광호수)

Geumgwanghosu Lake, a valley-shaped lake, is a popular destination for fishing, featuring three fishing grounds around it. Many people visit the lake during the winter season for smelt fishing. The lake also offers a deck trail for visitors to enjoy a stroll around it. The birth home and workshop of Park Du-jin, a Korean poet, are nearby, and a section of the deck trail is also known as the Park Du-jin Literature Trail.
