Gongjicheon Sculpture Park (공지천 조각공원)

Originally named Gongji Park, the park is located near Gongjicheon Stream and has been decorated with sculptures since 1997. Twenty-nine pieces are displayed and a water clock was installed in 2001. Gongjicheon Resort is located nearby the park with an outdoor stage and fountain. Water sports such as boat-riding can be enjoyed on the lake. The lake and the fountain are great locations to spend time with family and friends. Every year diverse cultural art events such as the Spring Art Performance as well as the Soyangjae Chuncheon Poetry Recital take place in the park and Gongjicheon area. A Children’s Center and War Memorial are also located nearby.

Gongjicheon Stream (Gold Scales Theme Street) (공지천(황금비늘테마거리))

The city of Chuncheon is surrounded by Uiamho, Chuncheonho, and Soyangho Lakes and is widely known as "Lake City." Much like the Hangang Riverside Parks are a representative landmark of Seoul, Gongjicheon Resort beside the stream is a treasure of Chuncheon. The resort is complete with a sculpture park, fountain, boat dock, outdoor stage, playground and more.

Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress [UNESCO World Heritage] (공주 공산성 [유네스코 세계문화유산])

Gongsanseong Fortress is a fortification situated at the heart of Gongju, which served as the capital of the ancient Baekje kingdom (18 BCE - 660 CE) from 475 to 538. Even after Baekje's fall, subsequent dynasties such as Silla (57 BCE - 935 CE), Goryeo (918-1392), and Joseon (1392-1897) continued to use Gongju as a regional administrative center. As a result, numerous historical sites have accumulated in the area over time. From the fortress, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Gongju's city center and the Geumgang River.
Gongju Hanok Village (공주한옥마을)

Gongju Hanok Village is a modern hanok complex where visitors can experience traditional Korean gudeul (ondol floor heating) in a comfortable setting. Built with eco-friendly pine and cedar materials, the village's buildings blend traditional design with modern convenience. The village's lodging facilities offer both group and individual accommodations, making it ideal for families, school trips, and group workshops. Visitors can enjoy hands-on cultural programs such as Baekje history experiences, pottery, and hanji (traditional Korean paper) crafts. Scenic walking trails, rest areas, and easy access to nearby heritage sites such as the Tomb of King Muryeong and Gongsanseong Fortress make it a perfect place for relaxation and cultural exploration.

Gongju Jungdong Catholic Church (공주 중동성당)

Jungdong Catholic Church, the first of its kind in the Gongju, was constructed in 1897 in the Western medieval Gothic style. The church features a cruciform layout with a red brick exterior. A tall bell tower crowns the central entrance, while pointed arches adorn the upper parts of the doorways and windows. Inside, the simple decorations and stained glass windows create a serene and graceful ambiance.

Gongju Sanseong Market (공주산성시장)
22 Yongdang-gil, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do
Opened in 1937, this expansive market features a variety of items across its five sections. It is conveniently located near tourist attractions like Gongju National Museum, Gongsanseong Fortress, and Tomb of King Muryeong. The arcade-style roof allows for comfortable exploration in any weather or season. The Food Alley offers an irresistible selection of local delicacies, making it hard to choose from options like gimbap, banquet noodles, and bulgogi. Not to be missed are Gongju's specialties: chestnut makgeolli (rice wine) and chestnut sweet rice cake, made from local chestnuts.
Gongju Tomb of King Muryeong and Royal Tombs [UNESCO World Heritage] (공주 무령왕릉과 왕릉원[유네스코 세계유산])

The Songsan-ri Tombs and Royal Tomb of King Muryeong (r. 501-523) contain representative relics of the Baekje period (234-678). The Songsan-ri Tombs contain the graves of kings from the period when Baekje's capital was Gongju, and it is believed to contain 17 such graves. Only seven graves have been discovered so far. There are two types of tomb designs: traditional Baekje-style rock and earth fortification tomb and Chinese-influenced rock tomb. The tombs number one to five were made using the traditional Baekje-style design while tomb number six and the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong were made using the Chinese-influenced design. Even though many artifacts were stolen from the tombs, the tombs serve as an important evidence of Baekje culture and the foreign exchanges from during that period.

Gongseri Catholic Church (아산 공세리성당)

Gongseri Catholic Church was founded in 1894 as the main parish of the Daejeon diocese in Gongse-ri, Inju-myeon that connects Asanman Bay to Sapgyocheon Stream. Early missionaries originally used a common house for church meetings in the early years until in 1897 when a rectory was built, followed by the establishment of the main church in 1922. This was the first Catholic church in Chungcheongnam-do and the religion spread across Anseong, Onyang, and Dunpo to establish regional churches respectively. The grounds have three graves of prosecuted martyrs, a parish and rectory, retreat house, and meeting room. The premises is surrounded by beautiful views of a lush forest. ◎ Travel information discovering the charm of Hallyu This Gothic-style cathedral, with its tall spires and picturesque red-brick exterior, was selected by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2005 as one of Korea’s most beautiful cathedrals. With a history spanning more than 130 years, it is home to numerous cultural assets and protected trees. Its distinctive and lyrical atmosphere has also made it a popular filming location for movies, dramas, and commercials. The Gongseri Catholic Church Museum is also worth visiting along with the cathedral.

Gonjiam Rental Shop Coconut Ski (곤지암렌탈샵 코코넛스키)

The shop offers the latest equipment and apparel each season, along with fitting services tailored to each customer’s body type. All gear and clothing are replaced and inspected seasonally, and all items are laundered using baby-safe detergent, with hygiene as a top priority. The shop also offers an “instant smartphone photo printing service,” allowing visitors to print photos taken on-site as keepsakes. Its close proximity to the resort makes it easy to access, and a free pickup service is available for visitors without a car. All lessons are taught by certified instructors, ensuring a safe learning environment for beginners and children. Gooam Farmstay Village (구암팜스테이마을)

Known as "Gooam" due to its rock formations resembling turtle's shell, Gooam Farmstay Village offers various activities such as harvesting agricultural produce, traditional food making, traditional games, and craft experiences.
