Yeonhwasan Provincial Park (연화산도립공원)

Yeonhwasan Mountain, located in Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do, is just 524 meters tall, encompasses the three peaks of Ongnyeobong, Seondobong and Mangseonbong, and is widely recognized as an important provincial park. Its northern side is dotted with Buddhist temples such as the historical Okcheonsa Temple, Baengnyeonam Hermitage, Cheongyeonam Hermitage and Yeondaeam Hermitage. Although Yeonhwasan Mountain is called a "mountain," the gentle slopes and ridges are more similar to those of a hill. Unlike other mountains where the purpose lies in trekking and climbing to the mountain summit, the most fruitful experience one can get from exploring Yeonhwasan Mountain is a visit to Okcheonsa Temple. From the summit of the mountain, visitors will be able to see Okcheonsa Temple nestled in the mountain and the deep blue sea along Danghangpo Resort to the mountain's south.
Yeoninsan Provincial Park (연인산도립공원)

The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true. The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year. Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.
Yeonjiri Bada Hoetjip Daege (연지리 바다횟집 대게)

Yeonjiri Bada Hoetjip Daege located near Uljin Port specializes in snow crab and assorted sliced raw fish. It offers a wide variety of fish, from ridged-eye flounder to sea bream and sea bass, and other seafood such as sea cucumber, pineapple, conch, and scallop. The signature menu of this restaurant is snow crab and snow crab with the sliced raw fish set. The set comes with steamed snow crab and assorted sliced raw fish. Another specialty is cold raw fish soup, which is a cold soup made with finely sliced fish, squid, and sauce. It is often eaten in summer and served in seaside seafood restaurants. Different regions have different takes on this dish, but all feature a sweet-and-sour flavor with plenty of sliced raw fish and vegetables. Keep in mind that prices of sliced raw fish tend to differ according to the season.
Yeonkkot Iyagi (연꽃이야기)

Yeonkkot Iyagi, which literally means “lotus story,” is a restaurant in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do that uses lotus and lotus leaves. It is a restaurant that offers a variety of menu items in addition to lotus leaf rice and lotus tea, which can be enjoyed together during the meal. Lotus leaf rice contains ingredients such as jujubes, ginkgo nuts, and pumpkin seeds, and the scent of lotus leaves permeates the freshly steamed glutinous rice, offering a fragrant meal. The restaurant also has an impressive children's menu called lotus pork cutlet. Another thing to take note of are the lotuses added in the side dishes.
Yeonmijeong Pavilion (연미정)

Yeonmijeong Pavilion is Incheon's Tangible Cultural Asset No. 24 (designated on March 1, 1995). While the exact date of construction is unknown, the pavilion was greatly damaged and then rebuilt afterwards due to the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, the Byeongja Chinese Invasion in 1636, and the Korean War on June 25, 1950. The name Yeonmi comes from the swallow tail-shape of Imjingang River and Yeomhagang River ('yeon' means swallow and ‘mi’ means a tail). As the pavilion stands on top of Wolgotdondae, visitors can see Paju-si, Gimpo-si, Gaepung-gun in Hwanghae-do (North Korea) at a glance.
Yeonmisan Nature Art Park (연미산자연미술공원)

Yeonmisan Nature Art Park features sculptures created from natural materials, such as clay, wood, and stone. The park exhibits new works each year under different themes as part of the Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, an international festival of nature art. It includes indoor and outdoor exhibitions, as well as a promotion hall. Visitors can participate in experience programs such as woodcraft workshops and nature art school activities.
Yeonmudae (Dongjangdae) (연무대 (동장대))

Yeonmudae located inside Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated on a relatively high hill between Changnyongmun (the east gate of the fortress) and Hwahongmun (a north floodgate), Yeonmudae is an excellent military observation post with sweeping views of the inside of the fortress. After the fortress was completed in 1796, Yeonmudae was used as a training ground for troops for over two centuries, where they learned fighting skills involving swords, spears and arrows. At Yeonmudae, visitors can learn archery while wearing traditional military attire; the fortress also offers a wide array of performances for visitors to appreciate traditional Korean culture. Yeomudae is included in the Suwon City Tour course.

Yeonpo Beach (연포해수욕장)

Located on the Taean Coast, Yeonpo Beach has been a popular vacation spot since 1972. Yeonpo Beach is long and curved, providing a magnificent scenery. It is famous for having the longest period of seasonal operation in the country thanks to its relatively high water temperature as a result of the warm currents. The pine groves and oddly shaped rocks along the coastline make for a fine view.
Yeonpo Galbi (연포갈비)

This restaurant occupies a remodeled public bath and inn, preserving the original chimney from its bathhouse days. Known for offering Suwon wanggalbi at relatively affordable prices, it also serves galbitang (galbi soup) exclusively during lunchtime on weekdays. Due to limited availability, galbitang often sells out quickly.
Yeonpung Gotaek (연풍고택(문충고가))

Yeonpung Old House is a 150-year-old house in Gaesil Village, Goryeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do - hometown of the descendants of Joseon scholar Kim Jong-jik. Behind the house stands a bamboo forest, making the air fresh and clean. There are four guestrooms, two of which - Juksil and Maesil (‘Bamboo’ and ‘Plum’) - are larger and suitable for groups. The kitchen is in a separate building, and has a large yard with barbecue facilities, which is also used for village feasts. In the village, visitors can experience the atmosphere of the old countryside, sampling traditional farming and craft skills plus traditional pastimes and food.
Yeonpung Sanctuary (연풍성지)

After the nationwide repression of Catholicism in 1791, a group of Catholics came to what is today known as Yeonpung Sanctuary to practice their religion in secret before they were discovered and executed in 1801. Today, Yeonpung Sanctuary is a Catholic sanctuary dedicated to the martyrs. Yeonpung Sanctuary has a Catholic church, a crucifix, and a sculpture and tomb of Hwang Seokdu (Luke; 1813-1866), a saint born in Yeonpung and martyred as a Catholic.
