Yeorakjae (여락재)

At Yeorakjae, located in Dalbit Hanok Village in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do, you can experience the simple joys of everyday life in a space called a hanok. The hanok was built with wood and soil in the old-fashioned manner, and its interior was furnished in a modern style to enhance comfort. There are two rooms, Full Moon and New Moon. Full Moon features a spacious living room and a numaru (balcony-like raised veranda) that may be used as a study or for tea ceremonies. In New Moon, there is a numaru with a large window and an attic. A beam projector and an AI speaker are installed in each room. Welcome tea and a hearty breakfast are provided.
Yeoro(Sansu-dong Hanok Experience Hall) (여로(산수동 한옥체험시설))

Yeoro is a hanok guesthouse in a quiet residential part of Sansu-dong, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do. The guesthouse has four ondol rooms, all equipped with a toilet and refrigerator. There is a shared washing machine (free of charge) in an outside bathroom. For breakfast, home-made sweet pumpkin porridge is served. Guests can take part in traditional crafts such as red clay dyeing, making injeolmi ricecakes or gangjeong puffed rice, and pressed-flower hand mirror making. Visitors’ cars can be parked in a nearby public parking lot.
Yeosu Art Land (여수예술랜드)

Dolsando Island located in Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, is famous for its beautiful camellia flowers. Hyangiram Hermitage lies at the eastern tip of the island where you can see the beautiful sunrise. Unlike other seas, the sea of Dolsando has unique scenery created by uninhabited islands, which stick out here and there from the sea, and its scenery in harmony with the emerald-colored water arouses the admiration of onlookers. Yeosu Art Land Resort is located near Somisan Mountain from which you can view three islands - Naechido, Oechido and Hyeoldo - floating as if they are wandering on the sea, and it boasts more outstanding scenery than any other resorts. In particular, the “Hand of Midas,” which extends out towards the sea, has been selected online as a must-visit photo spot of Korea and attracts countless number of tourists every day. ◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charm This is the place where IZ*ONE members solved missions and enjoyed a grilling session. Yeosu Fish Market (여수수산시장)

With a 50-year history, Yeosu Fish Market, the largest of Yeosu's three major seafood markets, retains the familiar charm of a traditional market while offering a pleasant, modernized setting with renovation work completed in 2011. The market epitomizes both tradition and modernity. Here, visitors can find fish species rarely seen in capital-area markets such as snailfish (mulmegi), rockfish (bollak), and Spanish mackerel for raw sliced fish, all at affordable prices. The market is divided into three main sections of live fish, dried seafood, and food items. The live fish section uses clean seawater drawn from a dedicated seawater pipeline 400 meters deep, ensuring freshness. The dried seafood section features products processed and sun-dried in sea breeze at an on-site facility located on the market's rooftop. In the food item section, visitors can purchase local specialties such as Yeosu-style gat kimchi and salted seafood. The night market features a variety of fresh seafood-based street foods, attracting crowds. Since the launch of the Viking Night Market in 2016, the area has become even livelier, packed with attractions to see and enjoy.
Yeosu Gasari Ecology Park (여수 가사리 생태공원)

Yeosu Gasari Ecology Park is a converted wetland area where the sea and river meet. It features various wetland plants and bird species, along with expansive reed fields and deck paths. Equipped with bicycle paths, it is also popular among travelers who enjoy cycling. During sunset, visitors can witness the spectacular crimson sky.
Yeosu Hanok Experience Center (여수한옥체험관)

Yeosu Hanok Experience Center is part of Sanggwan Village, Yeosu City, and can be rented as a single guesthouse. Accomodation consists of a bed room, two ondol rooms, a living room, and two bathrooms, and provides a healthy rest with a Gudeuljang and a red clay wall. There is a kitchen, and a barbecue area outside (charcoal and grill provided free of charge). By prior arrangement, a free pickup service from Yeosu Airport or Yeosu Bus Terminal is available. Guests can experience tradtional games such as Yutnori and Neolttwigi and crafts such as Injeolmi rice-cake making.
Yeosu Hyangiram Hermitage (향일암(여수))

Hyangiram Hermitage is one of four Buddhist hermitages in Korea where the faithful come to pray to the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. It was originally named Wontongam Hermitage, established by Monk Wonhyo during the fourth year of Baekje King Uija’s reign (644). Wontongam Hermiatge was renamed to Geumoam Hermitage by Monk Yunpil in the 9th year of Goryeo King Gwangjong’s reign (958), then renamed once again to Hyangiram Hermitage by Monk Inmuk during the 41st year of Joseon King Sukjong’s reign (1715). The temple contains many buildings both preserved and rebuilt, including the main hall, Daeungjeon Hall, which was rebuilt in 2012 after it burned down in a fire.
Yeosu Hyangiram Sunrise Festival (여수 향일암일출제)

Hyangiram Sunrise Festival is an annual overnight festival that begins on New Year's Eve. It takes place at the historic Hyangiram Hermitage, which was built in the year 644. As the New Year's Day dawns, visitors can witness the sun rise above the horizon from Hyangiram, which literally means "a hermitage facing the sun."
Yeosu Industrial Complex (여수 국가산업단지)

Yeosu Industrial Complex, established in 1967, is the largest petrochemical industrial complex in Korea. It holds significant historical importance as a space that has driven the economic development of Korea. With thousands of lights installed in massive machinery and facilities, it forms a dazzling night view, making it a popular tourist attraction. There are observatory and pedestrian deck where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the industrial complex's magnificent lights, making it an excellent spot for tourism.
Yeosu Maritime Cable Car (여수 해상케이블카)

Yeosu Maritime Cable Car is the first of its kind in Korea, connecting Dolsan Island and the mainland over the ocean. Passengers can choose between the standard cabins and crystal cabins. In particular, crystal cabins allow passengers to observe the ocean below ones feet, experiencing the thrill of being suspended in mid-air through its transparent flooring.◎ Travel information to meet Hallyu’s charmThis is the place where Wanna One’s Jaehwan visited with Yoon Jisung as a part of the web series “Paljjangzgram.” The two listened to music with Bluetooth connection in the cable car and drew each others’ portraits, and Jisung expressed his thanks for the invitation, saying, “Thank you for bringing me along, and I think I will never forget this memory.”
Yeosu Minam Cruise (여수 미남크루즈)

Yeosu Minam Cruise is a cruise ship that offers tours of Yeosu's major attractions from the sea. Built with Korean shipbuilding technology, it boasts a total of four decks and can accommodate up to 920 passengers. During the day, it operates the Seascape City Tour, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenic views of Yeosu's coastline. In the evening, it offers Night View Tour and Fireworks Tour.
Yeosu Safety Experience Training Center (KOSHA) (여수 안전체험장(안전보건공단))

Yeosu Safety Experience Training Center is the nation's largest safety training facility founded to raise public awareness on safety prevention and management, covering a wide variety of safety hazards that can take place in the everyday or workplace environment as well as providing region-focused expert training on petrochemical industry. The center has a total of seven themed halls, equipped with 70 different types of content that provide a simulation of real-life emergency situations to educate the public on how to prevent and handle the situation. In particular, the center's virtual reality and special effects content offer a variety of simulations on workplace hazards that can take place in the petrochemical industry, construction sites, manufacturing industry, and service-related sites. The training center is open to visitors of all ages for free.
Yeosu Seonso (Shipyard) Historic Site (여수 선소유적)

Yeosu Seonso Historic Site is located in Sijeon-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. This shipyard houses the Turtle Ship designed by Admiral Yi Sun-sin and Na Dae-yong, who were renowned for their shipbuilding skills during the Japanese Invasion of Korea. The shipyard site includes a gulgang (small stream to dock ships), a stone moorage for anchoring ships, a dolbeoksu (stone pole), and a Segeomjeong site.
Yeosu U-World Luge Theme Park (여수 유월드 루지 테마파크)

U-World Luge is a thrilling experience for people of all ages and genders with a specially made non-motorized cart that uses gravitational force to glide down an ultralong, 1.3-kilometer-long track. The course features a variety of dynamic scenes such as tunnels, Attraction section, Skybridge Downhill section and Natural Forest section built on slopes. U-World Top Rider is located on the mid-slope region of Ansimsan Mountain, which is a famous sunrise watching spot with an altitude of 347 meters. Here, you can enjoy a wide open, uninhibited view of the sea and the beautiful natural environment that harmonizes mountains, sea and natural rocks.
Yeosu Yeongchwisan Mountain (영취산 (여수))
Sangam-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do
Yeongchwisan Mountain is not very tall, rising just 510 meters above sea level, but the mountain has long been deemed as a spiritual guardian of the Yeosu peninsula. During the old days, people held rituals for rain or offered wishful prayers here. Geumseongdae and Dosolam Hermitage are two Buddhist places of worship on the mountain. As Yeongchwisan Mountain is not very tall, taking any hiking course will lead hikers to the peak within about four hours. The mountain is a perfect place for family travelers to go hiking. Yeongchwisan Mountain is also widely known as the first place in Korea where azaleas begin to bloom in the spring, and is one of the top three most famous places in Korea for azalea blossoms. In April each year, the azalea festival is held in the mountain. The festival offers a variety of programs including a ritual for the god of the mountain, a writing contest for students, a photo contest, and Miss Azalea beauty pageant. During the festival, visitors can enjoy various events and local foods.
Yeosugu Port (여수구항)
385-6, Jungang-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do
Yeosu Port is the second fishing port of Korea. The port has an ideal environment for fishing, such as a large harbor and deep waters with many islands that form a natural breakwater. The port also acts as a tourist port for sightseeing Odongdo Island, Geumodo Island, and other nearby islands. With Jasan Park as a center point, a relatively new port called Bukhang Port is located to the north and an old port named Namhang Port is located to the southwest. The port area is lined with restaurants and a fisheries market that offer fresh seafood.
