Yokjido Island (욕지도)

Yokjido Island is a place where one can come and relax comfortably throughout the year. It floats in the southern sea, and the main island of Yokjido, along with the smaller islands of Dumido, Nodaedo, and Yeonhwado, are lined up in a straight line on the route between Busan and Jeju. Yokji sweet potatoes are a local specialty, and the circular road is known as a training course for mountain biking and island marathons on weekends and during winter. Hiking on Yokjido Island offers stunning coastal views with wide-open seas and crashing waves. The coastal road from the pier to Yapo is the most popular route for enjoying the scenery of fishing villages. The real climb begins at the point where the paved road ends. Notable attractions on Yokjido Island include Samyeodo Island, Pelicanbawi Rock, New Eden Hill, and the New Millennium Memorial Park.

Yongbongsan Mountain (용봉산)

Yongbongsan Mountain is relatively small mountain, reaching a x_height of just 381 meters, but is filled with beautiful rocky outcroppings and peaks. The mountain's name comes from its ridgeline, resembling a dragon with the head of a phoenix. The mountain is home to a wide range of Korean plants, including Korean pine trees, and cultural heritages such as Yongbongsa Temple.
Yongchugyegok Valley (용추계곡)

Located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, this picturesque valley takes its source from the 900-meter high Kalbongsan Mountain, winding around Ongnyeobong Peak. Stretching over 24 km, it is home to nine remarkable sights, earning it the nicknames "Nine Okgye Valleys" and "Nine Yongchu Valleys." Blanketed by pine nut forests, the valley’s clear waters flow past rocky walls and ridges, forming natural pools along its course. A notable highlight is the 5-meter tall Yongchupokpo Falls about 6 kilometers upstream, accompanied by a legend of a dragon’s ascent to heaven; a deep groove in the adjacent sloping rock is believed to be the dragon’s resting spot. Flanked by Yumyeongsan, Jungmisan, and Eobisan Mountains, the valley offers an excellent short hiking route for a half-day excursion.
Yongdam Fishing Area (용담낚시터)

Yongdam Fishing Area, located in Yongdam Reservoir, is also known as Saamji Fishing Area, named after the nearby village Saamji. It offers a variety of seating options, including land-connected seats, seats on the water, and a total of thirty-two floating bungalows. Yongduam Rock (용두암)
Yongduam-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do
Situated on the northern coast in downtown Jeju, Yongduam Rock is an estimated 10-meter-tall stone that has been worn down over time by strong winds and waves into a shape resembling a dragon's head. There are many legends surrounding the rock. One legend has it that a dragon stealing precious jade from Hallasan Mountain was shot down by an arrow from the mountain deity. When he fell down, his body immediately sank into the ocean and his head rapidly froze looking at the sky. Another legend has it that a white horse, who dreamed of being a dragon and ascending to the sky, came to be caught by a soldier and froze into the rock. From Yongduam Rock, visitors can see haenyeo (female divers) working at catching seafood. Near the rock are various cafes, bars, and restaurants. The coastal road between here and Aewol-eup is popular among couples. Cafes and seafood restaurants began to appear there five years ago and now form a pleasant café village.
Yongdusan Park (용두산공원)

Situated at the heart of Busan, Yongdusan Park is famous for its escalators, which connect the Nampo-dong area with the park. The park has a great view of the Busan Port and the Yeongdo area. Notable sights in the area include the Busan Tower, the Statue of Admiral Yi Sunsin, a bell pavilion, a flower clock, and a sculpture of a dragon. The observatory on the Busan Tower offers an expansive view of Busan’s city center, the Busan Port, and the South Port at the distance. The view of the city at night is also not to be missed. Nearby tourist sites include many of Busan’s famous sights, from Gwangbok-dong Cultural & Fashion Street to Jagalchi and Gukje Markets.
Yonggwonsan Sky Walk (용궐산하늘길)

Yonggwolsan Sky Walk is a wooden trail built high up on the mountainside. Opened in 2023, the 1,096-meter-long trekking course offers thrilling views of the mountain's unique rock formations and an unobstructed view of the sky that is not for the faint of heart. It takes roughly 30 minutes to walk from the start of the trail to Biryongjeong Pavilion at the summit.
Yongheunggung Palace (용흥궁)
16-1, Dongmunan-gil 21beon-gil, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon
Yongheunggung Palace is where King Cheoljong (r. 1849-1863) used to live before his ascension to throne. The chief of Ganghwa County, Jeong Gi-se, enlarged the original residence and named it Yongheunggung (meaning palace of the rising dragon) in the 4th year of King Cheoljong’s reign. Its architectural features include a paljak (traditional Korean half-hipped roof) and supporting columns rendered in Jusimpo style, the column brackets placed only on top of the columns. The palace was built in the tradition of dwelling houses such as the Yeongyeongdang and Nakseonjae houses in Changdeokgung Palace, so the palace buildings give off a simple and plain atmosphere. Within the precincts of the palace are a memorial stone and a monument house indicating that the palace used to be the old home of King Cheoljong.
Yonghwa Beach (용화해변)
Yonghwa-ri, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do
Reaching only 1 kilometer in length and located 24 kilometers away from downtown Samcheok-si, Yonghwa Beach offers a serene atmosphere. In addition to Yonghwacheon Stream that runs out through the beach and a lush pine forest to its back, the beach boasts a scenic view with a half-moon shaped shoreline and unique rock formations on both sides. The beach is mostly visited by those looking forward to a quiet vacation by a fishing village and families with children who prefer shallow water.
Yongin Beomnyunsa Temple (법륜사(용인 문수산))

Beomnyunsa Temple, located at the foot of Munsusan Mountain in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, consists of Geungnakbojeon Hall, Gwaneumjeon Hall, Samseonggak Hall, Beomjonggak Hall, and other buildings. The sizable 430-square-meter Daeungjeon Hall was built in an open form of the Chinese character "亞" ("ah") in a Southern Buddhist style. The hall, made of indigenous red pine tree from Baekdusan Mountain, contains a 53-ton stone Buddha Statue (three times bigger in size than the statue in Seokguram Grotto) and a 33-ton stone Munsu Bohyeon Buddhist Saint Statue. On the left wall are 104 Sinjungnim (guardians of Buddhist law) as well as a Dongjin Boan Buddhist Saint Statue. There are also 1,250 Buddhist saint statues, symbolizing the devotion of Buddhist followers.
