Dadaepo Beach (다대포해수욕장)

Dadaepo Beach is made from sands deposited by the Nakdonggang River. It features shallow water and a wide sand beach suitable for children. Water activities can be enjoyed at the beach such as paddleboarding, kiteboarding and more. More visitors have been attracted after the addition of a coastal park and walking paths. At the entrance of the beach, there is a grand plaza with a large-scale musical floor fountain. Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams (다대포 꿈의 낙조분수)

Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams is a musical fountain near Dadaepo Beach where water jets are synchronized with music and lighting. Covering an area of 2,519 square meters, it reaches a maximum water x_height of 55 meters and can produce various shapes such as wings of a crane, rainbow, sunflower, and mist. It presents over 60 songs ranging from popular, pop to classical genres, accompanied by the fountain's performance. The fountain operates from April to October annually.
Dadohaehaesang National Park (Wando Section) (다도해해상국립공원(완도))

Dadohaehaesang National Park was established on December 23, 1981 as the 14th national park, and it is the nation's largest park, spread over 2,344 ㎢. Within this area are nearly 1,700 islands of varying sizes, including Hongdo, Heuksando, Geomundo, and Baekdo Islands. During the Silla period, the King of the Sea, Jang Bogo established the maritime world and during the Goryeo dynasty, the area was a trading path with the Yuan and Song dynasties. Also, it was the battlefield where Admiral Yi Sun-sin defeated the invading navy during the Imjin War (1592-1598). Likewise, historical sites remain in many places.
Dae Jang Geum Park (용인 대장금파크)

Dae Jang Geum Park is the largest historical drama set of MBC in Korea, featuring various architectural sets reconstructed from different historical periods. The park includes facilities such as the Dae Jang Geum Memorial Set, Mangyeongjeon Hall, Gyujanggak Library, Donggungjeon Palace, and the Inspection Department. It has served as the filming location for famous TV series like "Jumong," "Lee San, Wind of the Palace," and "The Great Queen Seondeok," as well as movies such as "The Face Reader" and "The Treacherous." Visitors can immerse themselves in history at the royal costume experience room, where they can wear traditional costumes and take photos on the various sets. Additionally, guests can enjoy their time at the herbal teahouse and souvenir shops.
Daea Arboretum (대아수목원)

Daea Arboretum is located in Sancheon-ri, Wanju. Daea Arboretum has an extensive forest of 300,000 ornamental trees. The forest is equipped with spring water, an observatory, forest museum, and a forest classroom. Daea Arboretum has a total of 2,683 species of diverse plants.

Daebak Hongdo Agujjim (대박홍도아구찜)

Daebak Hongdo Agujjim is a restaurant specializing in agujjim (spicy braised monkfish) and a well-known secret among Mokpo residents. Thanks to its fame, the restaurant has two buildings: the main building and the annex. It is located in Dongbu Market, Mokpo. Monkfish is a type of fish known for its tender and chewy texture and in Korea it is often cooked by braising. Monkfish, bean sprouts, and other vegetables are stir-fried with red chili paste-based sauce, creating a dish that brings alive the tender texture of the monkfish and the crunchiness of the vegetables. What elevates this restaurant above the others is their sauce. Dip the fish into a sauce made with chili pepper powder and it will open doors to a new world of flavor and taste.

Daebudo Island (대부도)

Daebudo Island, connected to the mainland by the Sihwa Seawall, is named ‘daebu’ due to its resemblance to a "great hill." A notable feature is the cluster of six islands known as Yukdo, which includes Tando (known for its black stones), Buldo (legend says a Buddha was born here), Seongamdo (believed to be a playground for Taoist immortals), among three others. The coastline is dotted with restaurants offering noodle soup and grilled clams, making it a perfect destination for a day trip. Additional attractions worth exploring are the Daebudo Metasequoia Trail, Daebudo Park, and the Bangameori dock.

Daebul Hotel Exhibition Hall (대불호텔전시관)

This museum is located on the site of Daebul Hotel, Korea's first Western-style hotel, established in 1889. The hotel was demolished in 1978, but parts of the hotel structure were discovered in 2011 and rebuilt to preserve the hotel's original appearance. The first floor is the Daebul Hotel Exhibition Hall, through which visitors can see traces of Daebul Hotel at the time. The second floor is the Jung-gu Life History Museum, where visitors can get a glimpse of life in Incheon's Jung-gu area in the 1960s and 1970s.
Daecheon Beach (대천해수욕장)

The area around Haesuyokjang 4-gil in Chungcheongnam-do is Daecheon Beach. It is the largest beach on the West Sea, and there have been resort complexes for international visitors since the 1930s. The white sand beach is 3.5-kilometer long and 100-meter wide, its slope is gentle, and the sand is clean. The sunset over Dabodo Island is especially beautiful. There are two zones of beach in Daecheon: Sunset Plaza and Mud Plaza, and each area offers a unique entertainment in summer. Annually, the Boryeong Mud Festival attracts Koreans and international tourists with a variety of events with the theme of Boryeong’s mud, including the Mud Checkpoint and Mud Discotheque. At the end of the beach is the Boryeong Mud Experience Center, where mud sauna, mud ondol room, mudpack, and mud massage are available. Daecheon Beach also offers activities of its own, such as Daecheon zip trekking and Sky Bike, a marine rail bike that passes over Daecheon Beach and Daecheon Port.
Daecheon Port (대천항)

Daecheon Port serves as a pivotal point for maritime transportation and a base for fishing in Boryeong. At the fish market, visitors can explore and purchase various seafood caught in the Hwanghae Sea, including fish, blue crabs, and shrimp. The early morning auctions are also a sight to behold. The coastal passenger terminal operates ferries to islands near Boryeong, such as Sapsido Island.

Daecheong Dam Observatory (대청댐 전망대)

Daecheong Dam Observatory overlooks the clear waters of Daecheongho Lake. At the site is Water Culture Center that offers various things to see relating to the dam as well as informational visual aids related to water. The Dacheonggyo Bridge by the observatory connects to Geumgang Lohas Daecheong Park in Daejeon.

Daecheongdo Island (대청도)
Daecheong-myeon, Ongjin-gun, Incheon
Daecheongdo Island, with an area of 12.7 square kilometers and 24.7 kilometers in length, houses a little over 1,000 citizens. The island is located 202 kilometers northwest of Incheon and is known for fishing. With most of the villagers being fishermen, the whole island is one large fishing area. The island is also known for clean air and various tourist attractions.
Daecheongho Lake (대청호)
Dong-gu, Daejeon / Munui-myeon, Chungcheongbuk-do
Daecheongho Lake is a man-made lake, stretching from Daejeon to Cheongju-si, Okcheon-gun, and Boeun-gun. Construction began in 1975 and finished in 1980, and the lake supplies water for various use to people in Daejeon and Cheongju. The reservoir water spans an area of over 72.8 ㎢ with a perimeter of 80 kilometers, and the water kept in storage has a volume of 1.5 billion tons, making the reservoir the third largest lake in Korea. The area is famous for its beautiful driving course along a tree-lined road through the nearby mountain which has an altitude of 200 to 300 meters. Also, resident birds and migratory birds, such as white heron, can be seen during summer in the upper region of the lake.
